We have Charlton away, mid-table home form meets top of the table away form.

Nothing to be taken for granted though, both Ahadme and Diving Danny Hylton have scored against us in the past.

Relegation dogfight classic on the cards with Shrews v Northampton as well.

Shrewsbury away. Huge huge game, the players who are fit are playing every game at the minute and looked dead on their feet against Reading. Don’t think there’s going to be anyone back in time for this game either so they’ve got to find some energy from somewhere, maybe they can head to the same place all those cyclists went to. It’ll be nervy and I can see it finishing in a draw, but if Shrewsbury don’t win this then there’s no hope for them as we are battered, bruised and wounded at present.

It’s also funny how supporting a team works down here isn’t it, my group of 6 would have no intention of going to this if we were comfortably mid table, yet now we are in a proper dog fight we’re all booked up on the train. Thick and thin I guess.

Cagey 1-1.

We’re going to get absolutely bummed against orient, the beers will make up for the shite though hopefully.

We have a tiny bit of momentum but I expect Wycombe to be too good for us.

Yup, pretty much.

All eyes on the other stuff going on down the bottom, realistically.

We have to let a goal in eventually and our attacking options apart from Kelman and Agyei are limited in terms of backup to those two - Ethan Galbraith is currently covering right back and I am still not convinced by Jamie Donley but he is getting better.

We struggled to break Burton down the other week, so we’re not perfect but are playing well.

We will have to make changes anyway as Darren Pratley won’t play two in a week and Dan Happe is also nursing an injury.

We’ll gift you a goal or two as that’s just what we do.

Hoping monk doesn’t dick about and puts our strongest 11 out, don’t wanna see Kai Kai up top by himself or rossi anywhere near the side, reckon stevens may come back in goal for Reyes but to be honest neither of them are up to it, losing lavery for 10 weeks is a major blow especially after just coming back from an injury.

3-1

UIE.

7 points and 3 clean sheets against Charlton (a) Rotherham (h) and peterborough (a) wasn’t really expected even if all 3 have been on pretty poor form and below us.

It’s taken us upto 8th, but more importantly onto 31 points and only 19 from the target of 50, whereas there’s growing optimism we should pass it convincingly - no-one is taking anything for granted until such a moment happens.

So to Reading - hit a bit of form recently and had a comfortable win against northampton - sadly like the game yesterday i can’t make it but over a thousand are heading down, which is a great effort after 1600 at orient and peterborough respectively.

Would bite your hand off for a point, still struggling with options upfront a little, though hopefully the brace for Will Evans will return him to some confidence.

Wigan at home. 2 tight defences and I feel that we are not firing on all cylinders. We did enough in the 2nd half so same type of momentum will get us over the line for another 3 points.

Calderons first game in charge, sadly he’s only had a day with the team but hopefully he’s inspiring something in them.

Really could do with a win against Stevenage, would set us up for a great game/atmosphere/crowd for Orient on NYD

Interesting to see what Ainsworth goes with against Northampton. Said the Boxing Day selection was to have the younger legs charging around and then bring on the older heads to see the game out.

Can't imagine any changes across the back after our first clean sheet since August. Marquis may come in for Lloyd and possibly one of Ojo/Gillead/Rossiter for Perry.

Must win this one, if we manage it having looked dead and buried were within a win of getting out of the bottom 4

Who knows what Lincoln we'll get today? Not really and ideal game after the Shrewsbury game but let's hope we see more of a Reading performance than a Shrewsbury one.

We haven't really done clean sheets this season so we'll need to score a couple to even be in with a chance of three points.

We can't be as bad as we were against Orient (can we?).

Just watching Stockport at Rotherham on sky great goal from Barry he looks very good in this game , weird because he was non existent last week ( not taking the mickey here) . Doesn’t look the best of followings from Stockport thought you would sell out for this one you’ve travelled well this year.

Shit game at the Valley so far, both teams arguably look jaded from the Xmas fixture glut.

Charlton have been arguably the better side though and should be at least one up, were it not for them missing an absolute sitter. We have rotated a bit though and have some of our better players on the bench, so subs will be key here.

Get in. Great performance from us, coupled with a really poor one from Wycombe. Deserved the win. I cannot believe we are one point off the playoffs, even if only for a couple of hours, with how crap we’ve been all season but this could hopefully be a turning point

Barry often gets two men on him these days, he did at your place and fair play to whoever was the inside defender 'cos he picked Barry's pocket every time.

There was over two thousand County fans there today, considering the time & so soon after Boxing Day I thought it's a brilliant turnout.

County created so much today but absolutely no end product. Also lost Tanto to what looked like a tight/twinged hamstring, and Horsfall to a twisted ankle. Horrible day overall.

Second best for most of that half. Massive improvement needed.

Wigan look pretty good. How are they so low down the table?

Mansfield played really well in that first half, Reading had one chance where admittedly they split us open down the middle and scored but we’ve otherwise dominated.

Suprisingly even dominated the ball we are at 65%

Turns out Santa was a little late delivering Xmas gifts to us, glad they finally arrived. Not sure the Exeter keeper will have the same sentiment.
Fully deserve our lead but a 3 goal margin might be slightly flattering.
So glad we have armando back, makes such a difference in the final 3rd.

Reading second chance of the game and we are somehow losing once again, going to be one of those horrible results this if we don’t get anything.

Pinched another win with 2 deflected goals. Parky can't keep getting away with it can he.
