Just watched the highlights of our game at Exeter. Some bloody good goals in there.

Then we come to each sides 3rd. Our 3rd was comedy keeping of the highest order. How Exeter's 3rd was allowed to stand I don't know. I do know keepers get too much protection but Wollacott was double teamed.

Before the game I would have been happy with a point. Leading 1-4 after 60 minutes makes it feel like a loss.

Thought Orient were ok, not the Orient of last season but decent enough, interesting to see what business they do in January.

We really, really miss the dynamism of El Miz (shock, horror that a Championship player would greatly improve us) and the hard running of Theo Archibald. All a bit slow and weak without them, though we play some lovely stuff on the counter. Imagine we’ll have a fucking awful January like usual.

Can’t really see much hope for your chaps on that evidence. Probably a bit better than Burton going forward and a bit better than Crawley at the back. That’s about as much optimism as I can give you.

With those 2 you’d be challenging from what I’ve seen so far this season, if you can add some real quality in jan and stay injury free then I’d say anything is possible, the lge is just full of bang average teams this season(we haven’t played Birmingham yet)

As for us, I genuinely believe we have the players to get us out of this mess but I’m not convinced we have the manager, their seems a lot of disharmony between those running the football side at the minute which is quite worrying(still can’t get my head around loft on a 3yr deal)

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season, 50/1 on 365 sounds quite appealing after yesterday.

UIE.

Self destruct button yesterday, our best player getting two yellows in quick succession for dissent at 1-0 down, one of which was after the HT whistle I think.

We're in a bit of a rut at the minute, 5 losses in 10, only 1 win in 10. Nothing we do is quite working, we have to work hard to score goals but the opposition score a high percentage of their chances. It's not as if we're giving the opposition lots of chances either. That said, it's a better XI than results would currently suggest in my opinion.

Tinkering and trying to find solutions but it just seems to unsettle everyone a bit. The January transfer window has come at the right time for us, it gives a chance to trim the squad a bit because we went with quantity over quality in some areas for the first half of the season.

Skubala struggling to defend Erhahon for his sending off and not really defending Wickens either for his failure to save Bolton's first goal. Replacing a 'keeper always seems a big call but I'm not sure he'll get too many more chances.

Should’ve got something and for large periods the better side, but we’ve got folk here that won’t be next season (akins being one / though i love his effort commitment and what’s he’s done for us) who’s mistake led to the winner, despite his set up for our goal.

Had we better options uptop we’d be closer to the playoffs but of course don’t have the finances.

Whereas small fry to some here, well have close to a million after the sale of DKD and swan in august and the cup run which will give us the best part of £300k minimum we can go out there and strengthen and consolidate.

We’ve done brilliantly this season so far to date.

Akins was brilliant today, Evans gave away that silly soul for the second.

Stockport County.
We don't have loads of quality creativity without Barry. Lots of huffing and puffing, Barry departing mixed in with a few injuries to key players and a tough spell looks inevitable really.

Really pleased with our points total which allows us to not rush into anything in January. I think it's definitely time to start throwing a few players in to see if they sink or swim at this level, which will hopefully allow us to make informed decisions in the summer about how we grow at this level.

One of the worst refs in the league. The competition is stiff at the moment but I still think he is up there for the #1 villain.
He has the recurring behaviour of starting games ok then completely losing the plot just before half time. I’ve seen it happen several times, he just loses it, then tries to make up for it by either overcompensating with cards, or letting anything go. He truly is a terrible ref.

Has been for a number of years, although he got into the 2nd half before losing the plot on Sunday

Evened up in the second half but Stags the better side overall although did lack that cutting edge and will feel very harshly done by losing that. To be fair to Reading they had two chances and took em both so clinical, similar to what we did against Wigan back in October.

The celebrations by Reading at the end of the game speaks volume to what happened on the pitch, they went mental, and coming away with three points against the odds when Cloughball visits who can blame them!

I thought you were one of the best sides we've played in the first half, some excellent football. We relied on your lack of end product and last ditch defending.

Second half it was more even and you ran out of ideas. We did have a lot of first choice players missing so it was a cracking win for us, especially with the manager change.

The celebrations at the end are more a sign of unity between the fans and the players. The club has been run into the ground and fans are concerned about points deductions, administration, takeover, player sales etc. It happens after every home win, even against Crawley.
