You staglets can't keep away from anything Notts related can you ?
Is it lonely for you up in the LG one forum? Understandable , been a while since you were last up there, don't worry you'll soon be back where you belong with your lg 2 mates.
Did you know I've got a little blue stalker now to add to my collection:)

Wow that’s a chomp and a half

Christ alive man, have some standards.

I’ll be honest i do miss County, those 6 points are always invaluable.

Will Fleck, Colclough, Madden and Grigg definitely be out for Sunday then?

If so, a huge bonus for us.

That said, any side that manages to keep Cook quiet will get a result against us.

Two goals aside, Port Vale simply couldn't handle Cook yesterday. Contrast that to the previous game at Notts County, Cook was kept very quiet.
No chance on those four playing. Colclough & Grigg new injuries. If this Cook is as good as people are saying he could have a field day with our shaky defence I’m afraid :( our keepers a pretty good shot stopper though & has saved us a few points this season

Ironically I can guarantee you he is the biggest Mansfield hater on this entire forum.
Bless him, he just wants someone to hate Notts doesn’t he?

You can see how hard he’s trying, I bet he’s had it his whole life growing up in Mansfield knowing absolutely nobody gives a fuck about his team, can’t have been easy for him.

What’s worse is that had it been anytime 20 years or more they’d have been the better team too.

It’s like one of those clubs where they’re there but no-one’s main rival, possibly like Leicester are. I find it cute that county still consider Forest as a rival

Yeah all out. Madden & Grigg won’t be around again until Feb / March time, the other two early Jan apparently, but this one will come too soon.

Our fit and available starting XI is actually pretty decent tbh despite the injury crisis, and we dominated the game at Fleetwood for about 75/80 mins or so, conceded a goal against the run of play in the first half but should have had 2/3 goals of our own but for some poor finishing/top class saves from the Fleetwood keeper, but as soon as Cook was forced to make some changes we went to shit and soon conceded again. My worry is this game coming just 3 days later and the same set of players having to go again, especially when it’s rumoured a few of them are nursing tight hamstrings & knocks (just what we need).

Our team will be this I reckon:

Thompson
Sheckleford Naylor Grimes Araujo
Oldaker Banks
Mandeville Dobra Berry
Markanday

We can’t play Drummond up top from the start IMO he just gets bullied, and I’ve seen snippets from Webb in the media saying we may try a ‘false 9’ in the next couple of games so that’s why I’m going Markanday up top who normally plays off the right. Would snap your hands off for a point and no injuries right now if offered.
Might be worth a try, Drummond looks improved but agree he’s not ready for a full game. I would suggest Berry normally but he’s not been on it last few games. Looked very frustrated at Fleetwood but whenever he got ball he lost it or went backwards

Seems odd you’ve been in good form of late to be so pessimistic?

As for Bradford that is a trip i do miss, cracking pubs up on the parade before the game.

We’ve been pretty up and down. I’m not usually pessimistic but we have so many injuries we had to bring on a 16 year academy player on BD. 2,500 of us going so should be a good day out

Oh you might just beat us then, we had 2,495 last time there, even better when 4 up at halftime

Tight squeeze in the concourse of that side stand though!

Injuries and suspensions are a bugger at this time of year.

You need to tell a few dozen fans on Stagsnet buddy they dedicated a designated thread to the club they don't give a fuck about. Only the 5000+ posts since it's creation when we were stained by Non League. Definitely don't care :ffs:  . That's five thousand and counting.

No wonder Adam and Conker hang around their historic home of L2 so much.

To be fair when Mansfailed fell through the L2 trapdoor prior to that I recall it got its own thread on our message board which quickly ran out of steam within a few days.

He’s probably one of them that went around Field Mill spray painting Notts County 4 LYF everywhere the other year!

Unfortunately it’s never gunna happen for them, unless maybe you lot disappear.

That said they played alfreton earlier in the season in the cup, i can’t recall them having much of a rival - maybe that’s somewhere to start?

And they actually won too which must’ve been a novelty in a local game.

Must win. None of this take a draw bollocks. They are one of the teams we are supposedly trying to catch.

We had to beat morecambe, we didn’t. So we now need to win this one and pick up at least 4 points from our upcoming away games to make up for the Boxing Day fuck up. The situation is serious. We can’t go on taking about picking up form like we have done for the past 4 months. Its now or never.

That said I have zero faith in this team and I think it’s 100% going down. It is the worst Carlisle United team I’ve ever seen. 1 goal in 5 games which was a very fortunate deflection, gutless, toothless in attack, crap at the back again, non existent midfield. I could go on.

Carlisle United 0-2 Accrington Stanley

All but relegated.

We've never played Harrogate in the league ever so new ground for both teams. They've worked their way up through the non league pyramid so great stuff from them.First game in charge for Pete Wild and there won't be any holding back. What a difference having 3 senior players back as we had against Spirites
Expect Hattan to start up front and like to see Broom in the team. Hopefully there will be a bounce from Thursday so going for a narrow 2-1 to the Cods

Not a chance there'll be 1500 there. Maybe 500.

As others have mentioned, we're absolutely awful at the moment. 2 teams in a row didn't believe us. This will be a 3rd.

The fact that we're still 2nd is a really sad indictment of this league. God it's awful.
The fact that any team can turn any team at any time makes it a great league ? Are you telling me that leagues that have 3/4 runaway teams are better….hell no, that sucks balls.

I don’t think it is awful, just that virtually every team is terribly inconsistent. String a few results together and you are virtually guaranteed a top 7 finish.

500 would be very poor for such a big club. Swindon was over a 7 hour round trip last week and we still managed over 600. Not that far and still being ‘holiday time’ I thought you would top 8/900 minimum. ( hopefully the 40/50+ year old idiots who wanted to fight the world last visit will stay at home)

Home to Gillingham on Monday night. Ridiculous 8 o'clock kick off because of bloody Sky. Anyway I'll toss a coin for this one . No idea how this one will pan out. We were poor against Swindon. Still got 5 or 6 out injured but I guess it's the same for a lot of clubs.

Apparently we'd sold nearly 700 yesterday, so maybe 800.

I like the tightness of the league but the standard has got worse since last we were here.

Save a good performance against Fleetwood a week ago we've been largely dreadful. We were awful at the back at Salford and we'll still be without Canavan for weeks, and we'll most likely be missing our two best midfielders tomorrow who haven't even been that good. Toothless in attack, error prone in defence, can only see us losing by the odd goal.

Five (5,000) posts about us ! From fans who don't care about us, well that's a relief, imagine how many posts if they gave a fk, shocking

It was hard work but I managed to find this thread, started in early August of 2018.

It was a bit of a bastard to find because nobodies posted on it since September, if that’s all you’ve got to feel better about the fact you are a massively inferior side to Mansfield then I pity you, and wish you a happy new year.

I think it's the best league in terms of entertainment and randomness quality might be a bit lower but I would rather see a Walsall blitzing it on limited resource compared to say a Wrexham or a Stockport just blowing the league out .

Another great opportunity to continue our great home form. As mentioned, we’ve lost just once at home this season.

Seems a good time to play Chesterfield. Something to do with having players out injured, or summet. Not like we had half our squad out injured from match day 3 this season, up until recently.

Anyway, Alexander has a selection headache of his own. Alex Pattison is back from his suspension. Has Antoni Sarcevic done enough to keep his place, or is it more likely Pattison will start on the bench due to GA’s reluctancy in changing a winning side. For me, I’d bench Pointon and slide Pattison in midfield. Chesterfield have nothing upfront due to said injuries, so they’ll overload the middle of the pitch.

GK: Sam Walker

CB: Aden Baldwin
CB: Paul Huntington
CB: Ciarán Kelly

RWB: Brad Halliday
LWB: Lewis Richards

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Pattison
CM: Antoni Sarcevic

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Calum Kavanagh

Hoping for a decent win and performance.

You've got Aden Baldwin at centre back? I've changed my mind I am now supremely confident.

We've lost 5 on the bounce and have the worst form in the league. We are falling faster than a stone dropped from the top of Copthall Tower. I can't see what can change this run, injuries, a thin squad and tired players all point to another defeat.

We brought in two lads who were signing on - Admiral Muskwe and Eno Nto. Nto came on and scored against Blackpool in the Trophy. Muskwe came on a couple of times from the bench. Neither have been seen since and for the last few games there has been a couple of kids on the bench. It's not clear what has happened to Muskwe and Nto, whether they are injured or have been binned off.

6th loss in a row, 2:1
