I've no idea why none of the top clubs have taken a chance on Ashley Williams.

Nilsson, Mr Scruff. There are others, I can't remember. I just remember them running away because they'd never had the experience of seeing United play like they did, having been suckled on United dominance.

Not sure what that has to do with me and my comment.

Well done Swansea, undoubtedly deserving winners.

We were playing with 10 men today. Rooney was nowhere to be seen again. His game has gone to another level of shit this year. I'll be amazed if we don't sign a proper striker to challenge him.

Arsenal were sniffing around him for a while, apparently. I think this was a couple of seasons ago. He'd have been a decent signing for them at the time.

We are shite. Depay is not premier league standard.

Dont let the win over Brugge a League One side at best fool you. Its gonna be a long hard season. On current evidence Id say we have regressed rather than progressed.

Hoping now that Romero has conceded we see De Gea.

All this talk about United needing a striker, and rightly so, but what about the goalkeeper situation? Will De Gea just go straight back into the line-up once the transfer window is closed? Cos' Romero aint' up to it.

A deal has been done for De Gea to go apparently.

"Running away", from what what exactly? I posted as much during the Moyes season as I ever did/still do. Not that posting on a forum is relevant to anything.

Fair play to Swansea, they're a good side.

United played well until we brought on Ki and adjusted our tactics.

There was only Steven CC who was consistently on that season. The rest of you ran away. If G Dragon is trying to make a joke out of someone who has got Downes that is pathetic.

LOL i'm fairly sure i posted more that season than any other time. usually some sort of exasperated point or other

I don't think it's that severe. I think we have improved everywhere apart from the striking position which is at its worst for a few decades.

Club Brugge made Memphis Depay look like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rooney shouldn't be anywhere near the England team. He peaked long ago and is on a steady decline.
£300,000.00 per week wage, he's milking the fuck out of MUFC
that's £1786.00 per hour :bl:

In terms of his contract and wage, I find it difficult to feel anything but admiration for Rooney. He played the club big time, and they fell for it. He's currently not worth half of what he earns.

“You always beat me,” van Gaal, the veteran Dutch manager, said as Monk smiled. At 36, Monk is the second-youngest manager in the Premier League (and the least experienced as a full-time coach), yet last season he became just the third manager in league history to beat Arsenal and Manchester United home and away in the same season.

“You always beat me,” van Gaal said again before adding: “I voted for you for Manager of the Season, you know. You didn’t win that one. But maybe you should have.”

Recalling the exchange on Friday afternoon in his office here — two days before another match against van Gaal and Manchester United — Monk grinned. “Of all the things that have happened in this job,” he said, “that was pretty special.”

He's making for a fine manager. Credit to Huw for taking the risk, surely gotta be the best recruiter of managers in world football. It's a shame tff is gone, when Laudrup left I wrote a bit about what we required from a manager, Monk essentially matches everything I desired and more.

How do people think Monk comes across in the media? I've heard some day he's smug but I don't see it.

He doesn't lack confidence thats for sure. I think overall he gets the balance right; he shows to the players and the fans that he is the one in charge and says he isn't afraid of playing the big sides (as he has stated consistently). I'd rather have a manager like him than someone like Sherwood who is all mouth but no trousers. Monk is like Howe at Bournemouth - impressive.

Neville said it best before, we play like a team that's 4-0 up and we pointlessly recycle the ball.

As a fellow father of newborn twins I reckon he is some kind of genius to manage a Premier League club as well as he has done while dealing with two babies. I'm still in zombie mode.
