L1 or L2? Not much difference really. Just a bit of a hit to a club's ego. Always said I'd rather be winning games in a league below then struggling season after season in the one above - Championship and PL excepted!

But we aren't going to be winning games in L2 next season, that is one of the biggest concerns. This team, which is undoubtedly a not-very-good L2 side, is not going to improve in the summer it is going to get worse, our best players like Garratt, Colclough and Inman are going to be gone and not replaced. This isn't just about going down this season, we're absolutely certain to be in a League Two relegation scrap next season.

Used the quote when arguing with a fan 'the manager can't do anything when the players take to the field'. They can Graham, it's called altering tactics which deluded Davis has proven for the 30,000th time that he is utterly inept at doing.

I think this is from the engrained "we'll go where the players take us" mentality. The club have little idea what a manager should do, hence why they're so shit scared of appointing from outside. Dario was first and foremost a world class coach, he wasn't about winning, he was about making players the best they could be (which brought results). That's followed on to this day with every other manager and because McGarry is stuck in the arsehole of Crewe Alexandra, he finds the concept of a manager affecting games completely alien. That, plus the delusions of grandeur of this "unique club", need to be shed before we can improve.

The only hope we have next season is that the likes of Jones, Davis, Turton(shudder), Cooper, Saunders, Brown and the new crop of Kirk, Ainley and Finney can cope in a league that is even more of a battle than this one. The hope is that we can survive for long enough whilst these lads learn the ropes and hopefully flourish. But they'll be getting no help from around them, as we won't sign any experience or quality as we can't afford it, even in L2. They also won't get any help from the sidelines, as the same management duo will continue to not have a clue how to develop an effective side in L2. I'm mentally prepared for next season already.

Just had a read of this weeks Chronicle.
Now there's a decent piece from a fan who asks why Bowler remains forever silent,etc.
Then bizarrely,S.D. compares us to Torquay (what the fuck?!!!) and mentions our play-off clashes with them (???). I hope this was the journo's error,I really do.Fuck me!

Oh it isn't an error. This is the whole mentality around the club. "Could be worse, be Stockport/Tranmere/Wrexham/Lincoln" etc. Wonder what they'll say if we ever end up alongside them, which could easily happen if the club don't get their heads out of their arses soon!

The complacency of the football club is staggering. The club needs an overhaul but won't get one. McGarry said Davis won't game the same longevity in League Two as he's had in League One but why are we treating League One like Burnley would treat the Premier League? Burton are top of this league and it pisses me off we don't aspire to be like them, it's just 20th place every season and we've all had enough.

Club deserves the Conference and unless the fans protest to get them all out then we all deserve it.

Yeh,we need to surround the directors box or barge into the club offices next Sat...something like that.
We had the Rowlinson Out campaign in the early 80's with fans meeting in The Brunny...we need something similar now.

As I was the person who wrote that Chronicle article- it appears I wasn't the only one who had that feeling about the club.

Yesterday I was speaking to a 50 year old fan whose had a season ticket every single season since he was 11 and has taken the decision not to renew because he works hard for his money and gets fuck all back from a club that he's spent thousands supporting.

He won't be the only one.
