Lock up your horses, it's Bristol Rovers!

Fresh from their trip to the bright lights where, no doubt, the GHS scared the living shit out of some Japanese tourists, it's back to a proper game - not those nancy boys from the Bridge.

A 1.30 KO will inevitably see some early knockings at the local hostelries in town as the hung, drawn and blue-quartered apple junkies cause a rumpus with their rendition of the Wurzels back catalogue.

They better have a fair few as they aint gonna want to remember this game. Their asses are going to get well and truly whooped.

AberGas will have to change his user name to AberGasp as he looks on in awe as the mighty reds destroy his beloved Wovers.

Got me tickets and me hard hat so bring on the Gas!

Gutted I'm missing this. Status Quo concert for my dads 60th in Wales, bad planning :hb:

I think we'll go behind early before winning it late on as last night catches up with Rovers.

Maybe a chance Obika is back for this one?

2-1 Town.

We have yet to sell our full allocation strangely with only 2,300 sold so far but i'm sure they'll go before the weekend. I'm missing the game due to a wedding so i'll be at the mercy of the internet and text messages to see how we get on. i fancy either a 1-1 draw or a 0-1 away win followed by the usual coin throwing from the roundabout lovers.

After demolishing Chelsea in the second half at Stamford bridge. Us cosmopolitan sophisticates travel to deepest, darkest Mordor for a game against our hillbilly friends from the sticks. Despite all I've heard about these West Country galacticos and their terrifying nay awe inspiring total football I'm still confident of our humble lads nicking something.
A 4-1 mauling by the Gas with a Taylor hat trick and Indian Dan self combusting with anger at half time. UTG :bdick::ds::box: etc...

Looking forward to this, a variety of past results at the County Ground so who knows what will be thrown up here.

Last time we played at Swindon I'm fairly sure Di Canio goaded us at full-time, it was the most entertaining part of the afternoon.

Steady on, JJH!

Had a premonition that they will have a player sent off early on - bit dubious but well deserved - followed by the Town players celebrating like billyo at the final whistle like they had just won promotion . . . hang on a minute, that's not a premonition, that's deja vu!

What a day, I was absolutely seething. All's well that ends well and all that though :D

Come and join us up here next season, I liked how fiery our games were that season; more-so than Cardiff games nowadays, the club's had the heart and soul ripped out of it.

A few weeks ago I thought you may be heading out of the division through the other door, but you've recruited well in recent weeks!

Seen it all now!

Surprised a few, tbh. Early days for sure, but we look half decent. Just posted elsewhere there's a rumour of Adam Armstrong signing on loan.

That'd be a right coup, credible sauce?

My first wife comes from Durham and I still have contact with her brother. Armstrong is definitely going soon and he reckons Bradford City and ourselves are the 2 options.

Ipswich want him as well, but they don't want to loan to a competitor in the Championship.

We've been a lot better than our points tally suggests so far, but performances and good games in the cup don't count for anything at the end of the day, we need to start winning league games. I'm pretty confident however that we will do. We've signed a new keeper in Kelle Roos for the season which is a big plus point, wouldnt be shocked to see one or two more in for Sat. 1-2 Rovers.

Is this knowledge that is shared by all siblings of residents of Durham, or just your first wife's brother specifically?

How should I know. I only know my ex brother in law in Durham.

I presume he hears things as some do at most clubs. Could be bollocks for all I know.

I'm going to a barbeque in West Ruislip instead.

Which means we'll win handsomely.

We've had a tough start, Scunthorpe, Oxford, Bolton and Southend where we could/should have been on 6 points instead of 4. With a win against Cardiff and lost 3-2 away to Chelsea. Although I'm sure 90% of the league has a similar opinion tbf in terms of league points.

4 points from those games is respectable and ill be happy to stay up this season, anything more is a bonus. Glad we have signed a keeper, that position was my priority tbh.

Another tough away game though, I'd take a point before hand - coming back to this level, there are no easy games this season which makes it exciting to say the least. I'm just glad to be back player Swindon where there's a tasty rivalry, instead of Cheltenham/Exeter. Bring it on!

I see the Gas have sold out their allocation of just under 3000. Good effort that - especially after an expensive midweek trip to Chelsea.

Really looking forward to this - reckon it'll be a cracking game. Weather looks a bit iffy for your lot out in the open end.

If anyone spots me with the world's biggest smile after the game, say hello. If I'm spitting feathers just fuck off.

A thought to those poor Bristol Rovers fans in the open end at Swindon today. To say they're gonna be soaked through will be an understatement. Reminds me of the storms coming off the Atlantic when I am home in Kerry.

Damp is an understatement.

Right decision was made though, although I'd have preffered it to carry on, the ball just wasn't rolling and the damage from the downpour was already done.

As for the game, the less said about our first half performance the better, we were absolutely atrocious and one of our worst performance I'd seen in a while. Time to step away from 352 for a while DC. Second half looked a little better but the weather had kicked in and really took its toll.

Good job we weren't a couple of goals up as we should have been. Rovers were absolutely dire.

Correct decision to call it off, though.
