After beating Salford, Newport (the new club as we’d beaten the old one) and finally Harrogate we managed the full house beating all the other 91 clubs which was quirky but obviously that’s now in need of us beating Sutton this season to regain that feat.

West Ham are the only team in the 92 we haven't faced
They were on our short list for a long time, but we played them in the FA Cup in 2009.

There are now just three teams in the current 92 + National League that we've never met: Liverpool, Everton, Forest Green Rovers. Obviously we will put one of those right this season. We also play Everton u23 in the Pizza Pot but that can fuck right off.

Luckily we have a historian that has a fantastic website of stats so I can easily find this information out.

Reading who we have played 150 times.
(won 58, drawn 38, lost 54)

We've played Bristol Rovers 148 times so after our league games this season will be level. (Won 64, drawn 20, lost 64).

QPR, Watford and Northampton are next.
Ours is Gillingham with 130, with Swindon at 129 which’ll overtake this year.

Not sure who’s stat is correct, doesn’t really matter - but huge congratulations to each other.

Arsenal have had a continuous presence in the top flight for over a century, but Everton were actually a second division side briefly in the fifties.

Another good one would be, 'which team do you have a 100% record against in competitive matches ?'.

Arsenal in our case.
We have a 100% record in league games v Everton.

Don't think there are any league teams we haven't played competitively apart from Sutton. We haven't played Fleetwood in the league as we crossed paths when we were relegated but seem to get them in one of the cup competitions every season.

Despite having played in all the divisions, we've never played ManU in the league, having crossed paths with them twice in successive seasons. We have played them in a cup game though.

Do any of you have an opponent that you've only met in one league fixture? Not just one season, but one game? Chorley FC have this dubious honour after the 2019/20 National League season was curtailed before we got to play them at the Vic. Our one league fixture against them finished goalless at Victory Park, surely ranking it among the most uneventful league rivalries in history.

I believe Burton and Manchester City are the only two sides we’ve never played. Of the ones we have, I think Fleetwood are the only side we haven’t beaten (1D 1L).

There are 16 teams in the 92 who we have played but not beaten, most often Leeds (9 attempts), Wolves (6), Harrogate (5), Southampton, Norwich, Middlesbrough and Arsenal (4 each)

We've played all 92 teams. (I suspect apart from Sutton who of course we play twice this season)

We’ve pretty much faced everyone bar Sutton. Would imagine the one we’ve played the least of established clubs would be Chelsea. Not even played them in a competitive fixture since 1929.

*Double post*

Think Rovers are the only side we’ve played over 100 times.

Bradford, Swindon, Northampton and Vale have completed the set.

We’ve yet to face Sutton but will complete the set this season (and if we beat them have retaken our record of beating all 91 in league games at least once).

Sorry yes your right. Same for all 4 clubs mentioned. Although I'm not sure about the record about beating the other clubs, that's a pretty impressive stat.

Not played West Ham, WBA, Everton or Sutton (yet) in competitive fixtures, although Everton and WBA have played pre-season friendlies against us.

Ironicly I have a ticket for an FA Cup game against Boro. They were printed in advance of our defeat to Man United in 2005 and sold off as a memento.

Just Sutton and Harrogate of the current 92 to play in the league.
We've not had League wins against Arsenal, Chelsea, Derby, Everton, Leicester, Liverpool, Man Utd, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed and West Brom.
Although we've beaten Arsenal (1953) and Sheff Wed (1910) in the FA Cup.
We've only lost once in six league games against Man City and that was in Div 2 in 1963.
We have a 100% record against Salford (2 in 2)

I’m guessing we beat the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool for example in the 19th century or very early 20th in fairness to complete that, as mentioned it was 100 years since we played Chelsea in any fixture.

Of course we had a decent second tier outfit at the time Man City were crap so did them (I believe we stuck Andy Porter like glue to Kinkladze!) and beat them a couple of times in the late 90s (our win against Huddersfield actually sent them (and Stoke!) down in 1998. How times change.

In fact looking we beat Arsenal in 1901, Chelsea in 29 and actually beat Man United 10 times, last in 1934 but the majority of wins occurred under the fixture: Burslem Port Vale v Newton Heath

It must have come as quite a shock losing to Man U to miss out on that plum tie against Boro.

I assumed Burnley as it was the first ever football league fixture. We've played them 137 times based on the 11vs11 website.

Think it's actually Bolton though, 146 times.

We've played the Donkey Lashers 96 times and Blackburn 107.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's someone unexpected and non local though.
