Just a quick question, out of 30 questions posted did i read that we only have to get 3 correct answers? And once someone has given a correct answer for a question, can anyone else give the answer for that question?

Anyway, I only have the option to try and do the written task, and with only three places available from that I don't expect to be playing this.

EDIT: Out of being at my workplace, this is the first time in 6 and a half years I've had to work late. Fucking typical it coincides with this!

Yep, you only need to get 3 correct and then you will be through and at that point I will ask you to stop answering the questions and leave the people who haven't yet qualified to battle it out.

Buzzing in rules will be as in previous seasons - you can only guess one answer every 2 minutes. Only one person can get a point for each question so first correct answer gets the point.

I'm guessing its that you could guess 3 correct answers every time? Or do you have to get a correct answer, wait 2 minutes, guess another etc.?

That's fair enough mate. I don't want Survivor to be about writing essays, and the fact that 14 people are qualifying by the quiz & crossword compared to 3 via the written challenge reflects that. I think it's a good chance for people who really want to be in the game, particularly those not be around for the live parts of the qualifying challenge, to have a good go at making the tribes.

Also, the written part isn't writing 'Why you should be in the game", I would never have a written challenge with that topic. It's supposed to be a bit of fun getting into the spirit of surviving in the wild and entertaining the judges. It can be a sentence, paragraph....you don't have to write 500 words that is simply the limit. It will obviously help your case the more effort it looks like you put in though!

For the crossword you can PM me as many attempts as you like, but I will only tell you if you have all the answers correct or not. I wont say which ones you have correct and which ones you don't.

Normally when I'd run a quiz, I would post the next question immediately after the previous is answered correctly. This is a little different because I need to announce when people complete the crossword between questions, so there may be more of a delay than usual between questions.

Once you have qualified and won a hidden idol clue (or you qualify after the 3 quiz idol clues have already been won), please refrain from answering any more quiz questions.
