Yeah, all this talk of Veggie by the way... while it's true that he's a formidable weapon, you shouldn't underestimate us without him. The J5 without Veggie is like an army of soldiers in full battle armour with big fuck off swords going up against you guys, an army of unarmored troll people with pointy sticks.

Veggie, meanwhile, is a nuke. We don't need to bring him out, but when we do, your faces get melted off.

MOTU- Mark of the Unicorn.

No idea of the AAT one though.

Edit- Just Google'd the AAT one. Be surprised if anybody got that, unless they worked in that particular field of business.

I'd heard of MOTU as I play Piano and Synth, although never used any of their products.

I see you've liked this Mike.....

So would I if we'd effectively doubled our whole points tally throughout 8/9 games in just 1!!!

Well played tonight btw.
Ha. Luck of the draw, but no one in League 1 and a Lemon has particularly fast internet so, tonight aside, we haven't fared well in the fastest finger games. All of our previous points came from rounds that didn't require speedy internet (Deal or No Deal, Pointless). Tonight's a bit of a bonus for us to be honest.

My Internet is pretty bog standard Sky fare as well tbf. Oaf,Veggie and Jon seem to all be quicker than mine, which was really annoying in this last round as I answered a hell of a lot of them correctly, but just not quick enough. Not having Vegetable around tonight, might just have been the difference between 2&5 points, but we'll never know.
I'll be honest, I personally least like the FFF games, even though we do seem to regularly collect points in them. My favourite so far is easily Only Connect, thought that worked really well on a forum. I'd have probably enjoyed Pointless too, but wasn't around until near the end of the round we bowed out in.

Didn't mind DOND though, although a game of complete luck, it was great fun watching it unfold. Play Your Cards Right should be similar come Sunday evening.

Best of luck to all concerned for Sunday btw.

May the luckiest team be victors.

I only have a 4mb connection, but haven't had many issues refreshing the threads.

I've been playing with both my phone and computer for the FFF games. It's been taking around 5-6 seconds to refresh on the computer for me, which isn't quick enough. 3-4 on my phone, so strangely quicker.
So I've been refreshing on the phone, while having the cursor placed over post reply on the computer, whilst set to type in the answer.
It's still not very quick though, as It's taking a while for my post to register after pressing reply.Ugh!

I think it shows a certain amount of dedication though, and a desire to win having to dual wield to get my answer in. Worked well enough for me to be able to pick up 2 quickest answers tonight, and Cards must've only been 1 millionth of a second quicker than me with his Plato answer. That was extremely frustrating. Gah!

Just realised how much of a dick I look on all of the FFF games :(

It's a luck game, like Deal or no Deal, I think.

I can't see how Play Your Cards Right would be FFF.

Tonights game could well be over very quickly.

But yes, not FFF and all luck.

Play Your Cards Right

PYCR-Logo_zpsbfe9ab4a.png

It's nice to see you, to see you…nice!

Play Your Cards Right ran from 1980-2003, in which it enjoyed two revivals. Bruce Forsyth hosted the gameshow throughout its entire run, although the 1994 revival was initially set to be hosted by Brian Conley, before Forsyth was lured back.

The game was simple…the contestants were given five cards and after being shown the first card had to guess whether the next one was higher or lower. The first card could be changed by the contestant if they wished.

How Does it Work on TFF?

You will play this in the thread one team at a time, and the game will continue until each team has played. You can only request to play when there is not currently a team in play. The first request after a ‘freeze’ or an elimination will be the team who plays next.

If a team doesn’t request to play, tough luck. All teams must have completed their turns by 11pm.

You will be given an initial card, of which you can change if you wish. This may work out better or worse for you.

Each team starts with three lives (to try and prolong the game a tad).

You must guess whether the next card is higher or lower. Ace being the highest, and 2 being the lowest. Each time you get it wrong, you lose a life. If you have further lives remaining, the card will be randomly replaced and you continue.

If the next card completes a pair ie it is equal and you no longer have any lives, then you are out regardless of your higher/lower choice. Both cards from the pair are taken away to complete your total score.

You can ‘freeze’ as many times as you want. This will mean another team gets a chance to play, and you can not resume until there is no current team in play. On up to three ‘freezes’, you can ask to randomly change the card. Again, this could be better or worse for you.

We will keep going indefinitely, until you have lost all your three lives and guess incorrectly. The team who get the furthest will win five points to add to their score in the overall table, whilst the runner up will score two points.

The choice of card is randomly selected via a card generator.

We start whenever a team has digested all this, and requests to play.

Ok Five Guys, you are in play...

Your opening card is the King of Diamonds.

Higher or Lower? (or would you like to change?)

The sensible choice.

Out comes the 8 of hearts.

Higher or Lower? Remember you can freeze at any point if you wish, and you have three lives.

Ok Five Guys, with a current score of 2 you are out of play until at least one other team have played.
