Yes, I'm back with the thread that everybody is waiting for - the 'lol, my eyes hurt'/'I say! That's a real beauty!' thread.

Onto matters at hand, it pays off to have your side kitted out in a good looking, sexy, eye catching strip because it does pay off in the end. Or so says Kim Park Jun, the custodian at Jesus College, anyway. Apparently he commissioned this study and he found out that the L2 teams with the prettiest kits all got promoted this year (Imps, MK and the Shakers) while those with the crappiest kits finished in the bottom four. The only anomaly, Mr Kim claims, is Vale with their dashing home strip finishing the season in a lowly position.

Who better than Glasgow Wednesday Oldham Athletic to get this thread under way then eh? If Mr Kim is correct about this supposed correlation between kits and league standings then I can safely say the Latics are in a for a pretty forgettable season, aka mid table. Anywhere between 10th-16th would be my guess.

Don't know what it is about that Oldham home kit, whether it's the shade of blue, or the proportions of blue, white and red but it looks a lot like something we would wear and less 'Oldhammy' than usual. I'm impressed by how quickly Hummel have moved though, FGR could have done with a proactive kit supplier like that last season instead of the cowboys they contracted to do it last summer.

After our kit design prototypes were taken down from the club shop a couple months ago, nothing more has been mentioned. Would have thought they'd have commented on the feedback they got by now.

Can only assume we're in for yet another season where the replica kits don't go on sale until November or somesuch.

We’ve ended our contract with BLK after supplier issues (we hadn’t got full training kit for months and was wearing the old stuff!)

Rumour is we are going back to Errea which I’m happy enough with as done us decent kits, loved the two BLK did for us but just always out of stock!

Hoping ours will be out the week before Fathers Day as usual apparently so should see something soon.

Fans want to go back to Black and Gold our traditional away colours and to mark the movement to successfully remove us of Norman but the kits have been sorted so if it isn’t black and gold anyway then it won’t be changed. Loved the purple this season to be fair.

We’ve signed with Errea after our deal with Umbro ended.

Although the kits look good I was disappointed with the quality of Umbro so hopefully Errea will be better.

Both times we've been with Umbro I've thought the quality was pants. Le Coq Sportif made excellent kits. I framed our last Errea kit and put it up on my wall (the toothpaste kit).

Yeah the le coq kits are the best we’ve had since I’ve been following. Never had an errea kit before but my mate wore a Parma top at 6aside a few weeks ago and the quality seemed pretty decent.

Errea is good BUT bear in mind they are Italian so order a size larger than you normally would! When we moved over from Sondico the missus got me my standard large... was like a boob tube! (Ok not quite but you get the jist)

XL was the same as the large elsewhere!

The toothpaste kit is a bit unusual in terms of build quality. It appears to be made out of that stuff they throw over marathon runners at the finish line, or the stuff they make shower curtains out of. That was a while ago though and I'm sure it was just the fashion of the time.

What? 2 of the league 2 sides with the crappiest strips got promoted. Ours is an assault on the eyes and Lincolns looked like it was made of old deck chair stripey material.

Bury's was the only decent strip out of the 3.

As above.

Initially, we had tonnes of people who'd bought of the internet and it turned out that their sizing were one or two smaller than what they would be in the UK.

Good quality shirts, though.

I'm one of the few Cheltenham fans who doesn't mind our Errea kits - but then we've been with them so long (since 1997) that I think a lot of our fans are just bored of them.

We'll be wearing the same home kit this season, but we'll be getting a new away kit. No hints or anything yet though.

We've signed a six figure sum with Hummel and our new kit is due to be revealed on Friday.

I would imagine our home will be very similar to the Oldham kit but in our colours (obviously).

Glad that deck chair is in exeter colours it got me thinking that you buy a deck chair full of promise but no matter how hard you try it always seems to collapse when the sun arrives.

Ours is bland bland bland. Bland photography too, with a bland brown background and a bored looking player. Standard Puma template in white and blue, what more can I say?

Looks like it got to 4:55 on a Friday evening before everyone at the Puma office leaves work for the weekend and someone remembered they needed to submit that Tranmere home kit before they go home, and definitely said ‘that’ll have to do’ at 4:59.

It's looks like one of the generic kits you pick in a football sim when you start a new team called 'Blandford Whites' or something.

Doesn't look very Tranmerey at all. I can't put my finger on why. Blue too dark maybe, White too white? It looks pure Bury. They should have just written swa swa swa swa swa all over it.

I just hope our kit turns up before Christmas this time and we don't have to play half the season in a random kit we bought at a sports shop.

Much as I like PlayerLayer as an idea (UK-based etc) did think the mock-up Hummel kits looked better. Right to bin them off after the fiasco though.

Yeah they did look better, but no good having a nice mock up and no kit.

Thought our Puma kit before looked decent too. Got Vandanel, Errea, Umbro, Macron, Adidas, Puma and now PlayerLayer shirts, of those I actually like the Errea best I would say.

That plymouth player looks like he's only just scraping single digit IQ. i've seen dead fish with more going on upstairs. He must be cold because his eyes are trying to cuddle together for warmth.

Just an example as seen on Twitter - but I’d love to see us launch something like these!

Oddly like the Puma design with Plymouth's Green but it looks terrible in White and Blue.

If we bring out a Red and White version it'll surely look just as poor. Wish we had Adidas still.
