With Blackpool newly confirmed members of League Two I think we're going to need this to chronicle the shameful way that them, Notts County and Leyton Orient are going to be run over the coming season. Other applications will be considered.

Down ML way it's become apparent today that we still owe Mansfield some £20,000 for ticket sales and damage caused to their away end, according to their owner. This after being taken to court by HMRC recently (albeit then paying and it being thrown out). It's not even that we (RT) don't have the money to pay these bills, Trew just appears to have decided that he doesn't want to spend owt else on the place because some people shouted at his stupid manager.

On that note, ours just left for Forest Green, which will probably leave our despised head of recruitment, who put together the worst team in our history last summer, to decide who stays.

All looking good, then.

We could be. Would be more than happy with him.

The very fact that we're looking at managers is concerning though as it suggests that Trew is stroll going to own the club come the start of next season.

Paul Cox was rumoured, not sure if there's any truth in that?

He was back in January as well. We could appoint anyone if Trew is making the decision.

You must only have been charging Mansfield fans a pound a pop then if that's the takings from Meadow Lane.

It'll be the away tickets for our game at Field Mill sold through Notts.

Our next manager will be Italian - No one from these shores will touch us!

Becchetti apparently looking to sort it soon, but last year it got sorted by the middle of June I think - Which led to half of our squad leaving!

Apparently we've gone to the FA who are paying it and there's some embargo, what's going on.

It's normally us that's the tinpot 3rd club in Notts, we ironically seem to be ran pretty well and a steady ship (though something will inevitably go wrong)

Yeah it'll come out of our next payment from the league if it drags on. Trew is just trying to drag things out until a takeover goes through and it's someone else's responsibility, I think.

You want to hope so, as though it's clearly out of control of the fans and not their fault, if you went into admin again sympathy across the board would be severely stretched, putting it politely

There's no logical reason for us going into admin currently, all of the significant debts are to RT so he'd just be ruining himself.

At least that's the case then, which is good news all round.

I'm not particularly in the know or anything, but I don't think financial ruin is likely. The nightmare scenario is that there isn't really a buyer out there willing to pay RT's price, he stays on but absolutely slashes the budget and embarks on a Blackpool/Charlton style spite job.

However, he's never going to get much for the club if we drop out of the league and lose our big selling point, so who knows.

Notts County
A transfer embargo has been placed by the Football League on Notts County as they have not paid the Stags the £20,000 they received from selling tickets for the game at Field Mill. This means that they cannot sign any players at the moment. The club should get paid though as the money will be deducted by the Football League from the next monthly distribution payment to Notts County. Notts County are in a bit of a financial mess at the moment with Ray Trew wanting to sell the club and therefore not being prepared to finance the club any further. They have also not paid for the damage to the toilets in the North Stand. It is frustrating as we looked after their directors very well when they came to Field Mill.

What JR said about it.

No one has a clue. McAnuff will most likely be off the wage bill so that's £4,000 p/w saved. If I was to make a guess it would be £1,600,00 - £3,000,000, not that it really narrows it down to anything!

Guess we'll find out when a new manager comes in and the calibre of signings brought in. Although last season we seemed to sign shit but the bill will have increased as the season progressed - a creditable source reckons we chucked a five figure weekly wage in October at Nolan which was rejected. Brisley won't have been cheap and I think we covered his wages.

From talking to someone else slightly involved with the club Becchetti is absolutely desperate for promotion and will chuck a lot of resources at it.

We lost £4.5 million last season - Although I feel it will be less next year with the further release of certain players.

Having said that, we keep sacking managers and coaching staff!!

Next season I think aour budget will be the £2.5 million mark - If we get a manager that is :animatedf:

The playing budget was north of £6,000,000 (no, that isn't a typo) when we got relegated, that I know. There needs to be a proper vomit smilie.

Don't miss out on our Early Bird prices!'

Football is such a weird industry. Quite enjoying our plummet anyway, you keep thinking each season can't be worse than the last and I'm intrigued to see how we'll trump a season of Trew throwing his toys out the pram and Jamie Fullarton. Put Branston in full control of the club I think and see how long it goes, embrace the chaos.

At least you put a statement out, last summer we was under and embargo and our club reported nothing. A poorly worded email from our CEO to one of our fans was the closest we got!

Our captain Mathieu Baudry has rejected a few new deals as he doesn't think the club will move forward under the current regime. Noice.

What about Blackpool?

Will they go straight through L2 to the National League?

Yes

And we are now looking for a new manager as McDonald has been sacked this evening.
You did better than I thought you would this season (had you pegged for 24th).

Crewe's persistence with S Davis, Col Ewe's refusal to play any competent defenders and excessive Doncastrian navel-gazing may have had as much to do with this as any particular attributes of McDonald or his squad...

Orient lost 4.5m? Jesus. I can't remember the figures, but we nearly went bust over a third of that.

That is just nuts, and I'm sure Os will concur!
