We can't accept anything less than the playoffs next season. We don't go backwards under Parkinson we go forwards and that needs to continue.

I don't expect us to go through against Millwall, and if we somehow managed to overturn the current loss, I wouldn't be at all confident in beating Barnsley - and I think t might be worth mentioning that I don't particularly think Barnsley are anything special, either.

I said weeks ago that we wouldn't go up - we need to look forward to next season now. There is a runoured takeover happening this coming pre season, and with a competitive playing budget this season of just over £3m, I'd like to think with additional funds available, we'll have a very strong squad next season.

A few things neeed to happen;

Deadwood needs to be cleared, naturally. Hanson needs to be shipped out IMO. A proper goalscorer in the mould of Nahki Wells would be lovely.

For too long have we relied on the 'goal machine' that is James Hanson, only for his to reach his customary 12 goal per season average.

Look at all the top sides this season, they have had 20+ goal a season strikers - that for me is the difference, and subsequently WAS the difference against Millwall yesterday.

Gregory's got something like 25 in all comps. Nineteen in the league and a scoring record of a goal every two games. Together, he and Morison have scored 35 goals this season: 46 if you factor in Aiden O'Brien, who has largely served as back-up.

Successful sides tend to either have one or two prolific goalscorers, or five or six players who chip in with 4-6 goals over the course of the season. We reached the play-off final in 2009 off the back of a tight defence, but it was only after we added Morison that we looked a legit promotion-winning side.

Segue back to the topic at hand: I don't think Bradford are a million miles away from being a promotion-winning side, not least because this tie is patently not over. I am very confident we will see it through but the margin for error is a lot smaller than some think. I'd be very interested to see what the atmosphere is like on Friday. It will be loud, but it needs to be the right kind of loud...

Looks like a sell out from Millwall for Friday, is it true you've sold the bottom tier of the stand where we will be housed?

Away ticket sales certainly seem slow, very much doubt we'll sell out.

Just under 2000 sold. 200 or so left.

Should be a 19k crowd.

Unsurprisingly your figure slightly out.

1500 sold, 700 left. Be very surprised if we sold out tbh.

A fine away day performance. Hopefully in the 2nd leg, Gregory will score another 'soft' lovely control turn and shoot goal in one movement worthy of Gary Lineker at his peak and Morison will score another 'soft' goal with great movement and an unstoppable bullet header.

Has anyone ever choked to death on sour grapes?

Relax. They were good goals from an attacking sense, a good shot on the turn and an excellent header. However, the defending for them was pretty criminal to be fair in allowing Morison two free headers, hence I'm presuming why Parkinson called them soft. You can't be surprised that he'd primarily look at/comment on why we didn't stop them?

Pet hate of mine, managers who never give the other team any credit. Worst proponent of it in modern times, just got sacked at Sheff Utd.

As for Morison's goal, your defence over complicated the job, Two marking space at the near post, while 4 marked two and when Webster and Beevers walked forward into box late on, with your guys being more into holding and shirt pulling, Morison got the jump on your No. 3 by ducking around the back of Webster and then a cheeky little shirt pull by Martin completed the job. By the time Procter on the near post woke up, it was too late.

Yep, so we agree they were soft from a defensive point of view?

Basically our defenders didn't do what we have done all season i.e. defend competently. The way you worked the space for both the first and second goals was good/clever but what's disappointing is that it shouldn't have been anything new to us.

Not sure why you'd expect too many platitudes from the opposition manager, though.
