FOUR FOUR FUCKING TWO, please Gary.

Now Bowyer has a squad which consists of most of his own signings, he has no excuses. He needs to establish which formation suits his strongest starting XI and bloody stick with it.

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Kelvin Mellor
CB: Anthony O’connor/Paudie O’connor
CB: Ben Richards-Everton
LB: Connor Wood

RW: Harry Pritchard
CM: Hope Akpan
CM: Callum Cooke/Matty Palmer
LW. Zeli Ismael/Jordan Gibson

ST: James Vaughan
ST: Clayton Donaldson

No idea what to expect but a good, attacking performance is the bare minimum requirement.

1-0 City (Pritchard)

Bradford seem to be a pretty dull side who don't create an awful lot, which is weird given they have a fearsome strikeforce (on paper).

Northampton seem to be on an upwards trajectory and have picked up 4 points from Swindon, Vale and Colchester away which I reckon is pretty decent going which makes me think they're more than capable of frustrating the home side.

Watson's broken collarbone in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday is a big blow.
Unsure about our best striker/partnership although Andy Williams seems to have one of the slots at the moment. Still not sure which 'best XI' will be put out tomorrow but if we keep picking up away points we should be in a decent position.
Like going to Bratfud, decent ground and crowd with cheap beer on the way up...a good away day.

There was a time we always beat Northampton but tomorrow I suspect will not be one of those days. I read how you effectively stifled Plymouth but given our team and formation are drawn out of a bag at random, we don’t have said style to come and stop and we create zilch anyway so not much work needed to stop us playing.
Expect more square pegs in round holes to precede a 0-1 away win.

Love being a City fan at’ minute. Full of positively, as always.

Win tomorrow and we’re winning the league. God forbid, lose and we’re fighting relegation. There’s no such thing as happy medium; as if that would be acceptable anyway. No seriously, has anyone read our forum(s)/social media platforms? It’s fucking tedious to say the least.

One of the biggest problems we’ve faced during our recent decline, isn’t primarily due to our ex chairmen, it’s our fuckwit fan base with sheep-like mentality. Honestly, thick as fuck. Fucking thickest of the FICK. Fick of the thickest - an’all that.

Successful clubs pull together as one (fan base) Sadly, ours has been pulled apart by our own fans. Ironic you say? No, sadistic is more telling.

But of course, it’s all Edin’s fault......la la la la.

Did I say that all out aloud?

*note to one self; I must stop drinking copious amounts of cider - I don’t even have any interest in the west-country*

As the pressure built, Curle had to react. He reacted by retreating and retreating and it’s cost us. For fuck sake.

They offered little except time wasting thank god we got our rewards, probably our best performance of the season. Other than conceding a soft goal which should have been cleared off the line they offered next to nothing, it was a bit of a role reversal of the Crewe game last week and not just the score line. Should have been more but after recent performances, will certainly take it.

It’s rare we don’t beat Northampton tbf:bg:

Last half hour was really good, turned on the subs taking off Devine (useless) and bringing on Ismael who was brilliant. Made sweeter given the time wasting, thought Northampton were better than all that rubbish the smaller teams try. Another mention to an appalling referee, Bowyer gone mental after the game. Overall, really pleasing win, signs of improvement as the weakest get found out and end up on the bench.

Played well last half hour after Bowyer made subs. Northampton allowed us lots of space though in midfield and out wide as they dropped deeper and deeper. Our biggest struggle is when teams actually come on to us as our midfield is so poor. We desperately need a leader in there and Cooke has to start for me. Was impressed with Pritchard and Zeli Ismael was great when he came on. His second yellow was ridiculous.

The games gone. All the time wasting which ruins football goes unpunished, then 2 players in the heat of the game have an argument and get carded. Footballs becoming a joke and it’s those at the top and the refs who are causing it.

Both teams contributed to a great game first half. Withstood the expected onslaught in the first ten of the second, we then had a couple of chances that produced excellent saves from RO'D that could have put it to bed. Then for some reason our manager decides to retreat to the penalty spot and try and hold on. Once you got the equaliser there was only one winner.
The time wasting is embarrassing but we are not unique, we see it all the time from others, I would prefer not to see it from anyone.
The referee was terrible for both sides, out of his depth at this level and lost control of the game early on, we joined in the 'Don't know what you're doing' at the end.

As frustrating as time wasting is, deep down I don’t blame the teams. We do it, everyone does. I blame the useless officials who let everyone get away with it, start dishing out cards and it’ll stop.

Then the teams test the bollox of the official, whether he will issue a second caution for time wasting...it'd be good to see one do it, but I bet that it wouldn't be a home player.
