Listened to the Radio Cumbria, you need to get shot of Williamson sharpish. Does not come across as motivating whatsoever and thought he was a bit disrespectful to the lass interviewing him.

I got my first apology from one of those twitter EFL journalist types today after arguing against me thinking I was wrong to want Williamson out. That says it all.

Williamson gave an absolutely awful and disrespectful interview to our local radio after the match.

The bloke is an absolute fraud and how he is highly regarded by anyone in the game is unbelievable. A non-league manager at best.

Has absolutely no personality and no clue.

We found that out after his absolutely diabolical performance in all respects at the playoffs drubbing we got last year. With the right players and not too much pressure he obviously can get a tune (Gateshead) but when it all turns to ratshit he hasn't got a clue how to stop the rot.

Disrespectful indeed. Atrocious interview, and he's really got the fanbase against him.

Untenable position, and it needs ending.

Fans of former non league clubs on here seemed to wax about Williamson and thought we’d missed out. Glad we missed out on this one! Hope Carlisle get rid soon, despite our pathetic forced rivalry by the Twitter virgins they’re a decent club and I’ll always have time for Lewis and Wyke.

Yet when he came to us he turned us around and was cited as being good for us. Plays the MK way!!! Until that kicking from Crawley.

Don’t even want to talk or think about all the awful things that happened this afternoon.

But we’re 100% down. Done and finished. No point in even wasting money trying to save ourselves in January. By then it will be too late as these losers will be lucky to get 3 more points before then.

Just accept our fate, get a sporting director in and start planning a summer reset for life in the National League where hopefully our healthy budget can be used to our advantage.

As much as I agree that we look doomed, we can't be giving up in October. Just get shot of MW, get the SD in, and have the SD oversee the recruitment of the new head coach.

We played better football under Rudd and Dev. Give them the reigns back for a couple of weeks. It can't continue any longer.

Williamson makes Nigel Mansell sound interesting.

What I don’t get is why MW has seemingly abandoned his build from the back principles over night and reverted to what we saw today.

If it’s from the pressure of ex players like Hawley and Lumsdon advocating going direct then it shows what a weak manager MW is. It concerns me it really does.

Once a manager starts ripping up the whole plan and going against his football principles he is done.

They need to focus on goalie and an entire new defence before anything else.

Is nothing any manager can do when constant individual amateur mistakes put you a goal down in first 10 minutes.

That goal yesterday was laughable the ‘saved one for once………..aaaaw b*llocks’ type of comedic way it went in

I've given up on this season now because the effort and attitude of our team is truly embarrassing.
As bad as it is to see Wyke go off with a bad injury, I don't feel like it makes any difference to our chances of staying up because he's been a complete shadow of the player we expected him to be.
It feels like 80 - 90% of our squad needs to be sacked off and replaced with players who'll actually try and give a shit about the club and their job.

It's so typical of us to finally have a season that ends with a promotion, to then be followed by two terrible seasons of relegation.

We desperately need people who have good football knowledge at the club and a manager who injects confidence into the team.

Seriously ,don't think you will stay down with us for long ,you have the backing to get out of the position you are in ,we don't we have an owner who does not care about this club ,which is strange because the position we find ourselves in the value on the club would surely decrease.I doubt he will give us any money in January to help the team ,that's why we need a good cup run to try and get some funds in ,but going to Worthing next Saturday I'm not sure how we will do ,can only hope Derek gets his game plan right .

They've got a huge advantage over you and Accrington in that they've the ability to spend at the window.
Despite the total despondency of some of the fans staying up is eminently achievable with Williamson and just a couple of decent signings at Christmas.

It’ll take more than just a couple of decent signings.

That financial backing has been there for two windows, and we’ve picked up a few players who - on paper, at least - should be good enough to compete at this level. Wyke, Jones, Lewis, Thomas, Hayden etc.

There is an inevitability about it. Williamson is beat, his interviews increasingly desperate. The fans have turned, and there is no unity at the club. Without major changes, this ends only one way.

Advantages and disadvantages what we gain in terms of transfers we lose because unity and spirit is just a vipers nest of hatred right now, Carlisle will constantly lose home games because the atmosphere played in now is horrible, nervous and quick tempered…..only seen it as sour as this before back in 1991 when they wanted Clive middlemass out and got so bad they openly spent 90 minutes berating their own players and cheering on the away side winning 4-0……not that level of hate yet but it’s building.

I feel sorry for Williamson though no one’s sorting this clart out, he sets up his game plan and each time it’s f*cked up within 5 minutes due to basic individual errors, midweek set up to be tight and individual error puts them 1 up within minutes and whole plan gone, then yesterday sets up more positive and starts ok then the goalkeeper just stands there watching the worlds slowest bouncing ball bounce into the net while standing going ‘it’s wide…..it’s wide….its……oh sh*t’

No manager can compensate for this level of sh*te. He really needs to just go 4-5-1 and go for some 0-0’s for confidence but you know if we put 11 at the back with these morons in the first five minutes they’d kick ball off each other into the net for an own goal.

I'd be getting rid of Greg Abbott first, he's never shown any analytical skills, he's like Mike Bassett. We had him years ago as an older head to guide Shaun Derry and he was clueless.
How many teams go through three manager seasons and come out the better for it? FGR went down last season trying that, we did the same with the same result.
I've a feeling that Swindon might yet do it if Holloway doesn't give them an immediate bounce.

That sounds a more realistic appraisal of a bad team than just sack the manager, he's a clown.

I'd be surprised if MW was fired.
A new sporting director is imminent to work alongside Williamson.
Williamson will be in talks now in preparation to sign players in January.
It's a long term plan and things happen behind the scenes at football clubs that us fans have no idea about.
Only my opinion, but it wouldn't surprise me if Clibbens and Abbott are gone within weeks of the new sporting director being appointed.

Is Clibbens really a problem? As far as I know he’s more on the operational side of the club and off pitch things are going well.

Abbott I agree on, he should have been gone in the summer.

Haven’t seen Carlisle play this season but having seen the goal conceded yesterday whether Williamson is the right man who knows but not much you can legislate for your keeper doing that. Given he was appointed to play a certain style which you’d say was probably not recruited for it’s one of them maybe see how it plays out when he has some of his own players. Still think Carlisle will haul themselves out of it, good news for them at least in L2 only two go down or then it would be time to worry.

I'm thinking Clibbens didn't come out of the Sweeting fiasco blameless.
In his position, he would presumably have been at the forefront of any advice given to the Piataks.
As a club, that Sweeting situation ended a bit embarrassing for us really.

Sweeting fleeced us, good and proper. That much is clear. He may have even fleeced MW in the process. Would MW have come here but for Sweeting supposedly coming too? There's been some serious naïveté on display in the appointment process, I really hope the owners learn from it.

Apparently a few of the sporting directors who they interviewed advised our board to go for Mike Williamson when asked who they'd like to take on as a head coach. It wasn't just Sweeting who told them.

How true that is I'm not sure but if it is then it just shows how so many so called experts have been wrong about him.

Our owners released a statement last night fully backing Mike Williamson as the man to move us forward, all we have to do is be patient for his system to work even if it means dropping into the non-league then so be it.

Another relegation is a bitter pill to swallow, but I believe it will be followed by four successive promotions all the way to the Premier League playing tidy football under the inspirational genius that is Mike Williamson.

MK Dons fans will regret losing him to us.

It’s a tough one to say but one argument you can give to giving Williams more time to say end of last season with Simpson is Williams hasn’t yet been able to bring any players in.

I remember back in 2004 when Simpson took over from Collins and we frankly lost and lost and lost again, think it was 12 defeats in a row, sat rock bottom of the league in mid December on only 5 points.

Then the transfer embargo went and he brought in his players, Gray, Cowan, Preece, suddenly that steaming pile of sh*te started to be hard to beat and second half of the season had constant play off form.

It still went down, the gap was too great but foundations were laid and progress made which pushed on the following season and we were league one two years later.

It is maybe same happening again, just a stinking shower of awful players which need 2-3 good additions to turn around the attitude issues.
