The famous Fishy relegation calculator…

Just did it all automatically and it had us finish bottom with 33 points with Tranmere second bottom on 36 points. Accrington 3rd bottom on 44 points with Morecambe above on 46 points.

Well I suppose we can head down there to come back up stronger, that's the hope now.

I tried the Fishy calculator, both predicting Rovers results and the fully automatic version. The TRFC figures were quite similar, 38 pts (me) 39 points (calculator) Both versions had Carlisle bottom 31/27 and Morecambe 22nd 46/42 and Accrington just above them 47/48

Looking very likely that Carlisle and Rovers will drop.

It's allright, I'm sure we'll both have some titanic battles down there against Braintree and Wealdstone.

We've been humiliated by both in the NL, and Wealdstone again this season with a 5-0 defeat at Braintree probably being the low point in the club's history.

We are horrendous.

We were terrible in the first 4 months of the season, yet somehow despite signing 12 new players in January, we’re now worse.

I don’t know how any fan can have any faith whatsoever in this team. It’s truly woeful.

All I want is to see some signs of progress from this team so we can take something down to the national league to give us hope. But there’s currently nothing.

I'd say back to back clean sheets is something to build on? I know it's frustrating and games are slowly passing by, but Tranmere are fucking woeful. You literally just need to finish a solitary point ahead of them as it stands. It's the hope that kills you, but I'd rather be doing the chasing and cling on to something, than be on a complete downward spiral like they are. It's not over yet.

We are on a complete downward spiral.

1 win in 10 games since the turn of the year.
5 points from a possible 30 in that time.

We’re getting worse.

It's over. There is no fight in this team, and they give us absolutely nothing to cling on to.

I've seen the worst Carlisle United sides in history, and this one is fully deserving of being mentioned amongst them. There are some talented players here, but mentally they are the weakest bunch of professionals ever to (dis)grace the hallowed turf of Brunton Park.

For me this is the worst Carlisle United team I’ve ever seen. Its not amongst them, its out on its own.

A pathetic embarrassing points total after 32 games.

100% down
100% the worst team I’ve seen.

The 91/92 team will take some beating. But this lot are up there.

Before my time that.

I remember the 03/04 team that went down. This team is worse than that and won’t get anywhere near the 45 points that team were relegated on.

The side that got relegated wasn't a bad side by the time relegation was confirmed. We were awful in the first half of the season, losing 12 straight games at one point. I think we had 5 points on the board in December, before hitting form. Second half of the season was much better, and we weren't far off promotion form. Ironically, by the time we were actually relegated we were actually a half-decent side. We'd certainly had worse over the 5 years preceding that devastating relegation. And, crucially, our form over the second half of the season set the scene for us bouncing back at the first attempt.

It meant little, but we didn't finish bottom - unlike in 91/92, when only Aldershot going bust saved us from non-league at a time when the club was on its knees. Crowds were down to 2/3k, and the club felt like it was dying. We managed just 34 points that season, winning just 7 games. Feast your eyes on the state of the crowd in our game against Scarborough:

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I have that video, I used to love the music in between games…..if you really wanted to have shown that team at its worst you should have found that gillingham game got to be worst defending ever seen at this level by anyone that match .

I still think as said many times you got to look at last 2-3 weeks with two hats on…..one hat which yes goes t
‘Terrible results in short term for survival’ but the other hat if your convinced we probably are gone saying ‘was some green shoots there last few weeks, something finally to build upon’

At least in last 3 games with highest we sound better, play more as a team, put teams under pressure and create slme
Chances…….3 weeks ago it’d been 0-0 or a 0-1 defeat but we’d never ventured out of our own half and of a goal down you may as well have gone home.

It’s a huge re build job, highes has been for me making the right moves in his first few games the problem is he hasn’t got a lot of time for a proper rebuild…..but that isn’t his fault

We're still (only) 5 points adrift with 14 games left.
Guy, Davies and Kelly returning and building up game time/ match fitness.
Likewise, Dennis. Had a poor start but he's getting stronger and better the more game time he gets.
An improved and more confident style of play under Sparky.
2 consecutive clean sheets, harder to beat.
I still live in hope.
