Disgusting scorecards but you know what you're getting with Ricky in Scotland, remember he lost nearly every round v Beltran plus a KD and got a draw. The hypocrisy in boxing in ridiculous, Hearn was calling for a judge to be sacked after a fair 117-111 card in the Linares/Crolla fight but no doubt we won't hear of this again and the judge will be back when on a matchroom card in the near future. The most openly corrupt sport in the world

Really? I think there's good cases for both and Wlad looks the value there

Scott Fitzgerald on the Bellew undercard a week on Saturday. Went to his watch his final sparring session this morning. He's a bit special.

Not saying he's not potentially decent but he's just been floored by some absolute no mark.

Luke Campbell did his job well tonight, basically sending Derry Matthews into retirement. Rather like Amir Khan, a good slick boxer but there's doubts about the chin at elite level. Campbell v Flanagan would be a good fight for next year.

And finally, the state of Bellew at the end. Beats an absolute bum who couldn't wait to call it a day and then does the old 'hold me back' to David Haye at ringside. I want to see that fight, Haye will knock Bellew's head off his shoulders. WWE would cringe at that shite he served up there.

Is it the blows to the head that makes some of these boxers complete bellends? Bellew was at the top end of the bellend scale spending most of his time goading David Haye and then creating a pantomime at the end. Then we had to listen to Haye telling us how he would beat Bellew with one hand - really David? Well let's do it then, tie one hand behind his back and see how he gets on.

Let's face it the 'main' event was nothing other than a slugfest which I could have headed into town to watch at closing time tonight. I'm not a massive boxing fan myself but I can't say I saw much skill involved. I actually enjoyed the undercards much more than the Bellew fight

Actually quite liked bellew before tonight, but instead of celebrating to straight away lay into haye after the fight was halted, to then continuing to talk to haye when he's being announced the winner.. acted like a classless twat tonight.

I'd like to see that fight happen, but I can't see either of them changing their current weight classes.

Bellew might be thick but he's not a total idiot. He's 33 now, he knows he's not good enough to clean up at cruiserweight so the Haye fight is his way of cashing out before retirement.

The sad thing is, boxing fans will fall for it and the fight will do big numbers on PPV. Haye will floor him and then they'll hug after the bell and talk about how much they respect each other. And then Haye will look for his own cashout fight against AJ...

It's prizefighting. So long as the fight is good which this one can only be then it's got more than enough drama & excitement to sell as a big ppv. The standards are pretty low, this compared to bellew - cleverly 2 which was ppv is a dream fight.

Agree on Bellew putting the house on a Haye fight though. I don't blame him, he could unify the CW division and probably not even earn half as much as he'll coup against Haye even if he loses. If he wins he's hit the big time, wonder if he'd get in with AJ :sur:

Bellew has 3 options:

1) Fight his mandatory, Briedis, who beats him
2) Unify against either Lebedev or Usyk, who both beat him
3) Fight Haye, who beats him

Only difference with the Haye fight is that it will be worth millions to him and sets him and his family up for life and we know how much Haye loves a pound note so this will probably happen next. This fight is all that's wrong with boxing especially in this country. A fake manufactured hatred followed by some set up WWE bullshit, the problem being the casual fan buys into it and the same people will probably moan when it's over in 2 rounds and Bellew is fast asleep.

AJ - Wlad isn't gonna happen apparently. Sounds very much like Hearn was blowing smoke.

Or Wlad has cacked his duds, a tear up in London with AJ or the safest of safe fights in Germany with Lucas Browne...

Anyone catch Josh Taylor wiping out Dave Ryan on c5 last night? Really impressive, Barry McGuigan's claim he's the best Scottish fighter since Ken Buchanan seems on point. 7th fight and completely destroys a guy who's renowned for being nails, the guy is definitely gonna be British not Scottish.

Very enjoyable main event from mathroom's Brum card. The sixth round was one of the best I've ever seen in a British ring. Eggington had too much for Frankie, wish I'd bothered to placed a bet as Eggington would've been overpriced I reckon.

Ogogo got beat, oops.

The body shots did for him, no surprise considering the state he was in physically coming into the fight but he's been the same way his whole career, a lack of professionalism costing him. Ogogo proved he has a glass heart as well as a glass chin. Too many injuries and a long road for him just got longer and I don't think he has the will in any case.

Along with Andrew Selby, Taylor is one of the best prospects we have in Britain and it's good to see Cyclone are moving him quickly. Should see him in big fights soon. Shame no one wants to fight Selby, he'll go to the top.

On the Brum card, what a waste of talent Gavin really is. Quite frustrating considering what a great amateur he was but from the outside it looks like he never really had the passion for boxing. Pleased for Eggington though especially after the unnecessary stick he got from Barry Hearn after the Skeete fight.

Ogogo has been too focused on being a celeb, glad he got beat.

As much as Ogogo was bad I was impressed with Cunningham, not often the underdog fights off the back foot to ultimately force the stoppage, like his style.
