That was probably the strangest performance I've ever seen from a professional fighter from DeGale last night. It's like he'd never boxed before. Lunging in, crossing his legs, squaring up. Not following up a punch. Like, stuff he'll have known since he was about 10. He didn't even try to establish his jab at any point. Groves showed the blueprint to beat Eubank and it's basically box smarter than him. DeGale should have been right at home. Instead he fought like he was someone down the pub who'd lost a bet.
