Best matchroom card for a while, Edwards will win a 12 rounder, think Hughie is getting Povetkin at the right time, looked well out of shape at the weigh in. Fair play to Hughie he's taking tougher fights than Tyson at the minute. Really looking forward to the Lomachenko fight for some reason despite knowing its in the bag for him, he's just fantastic to watch. Don't think there will be any quitting on his stool from Campbell though.

No contest FFS. So stupid by the little Mexican, it was clear he had power and he had Edwards virtually finished then stupidly hits him when he's taking a knee. And you knew Edwards would milk it for all it's worth. Not a chance he takes that rematch and will use the "moving up" excuse.

Hughie Fury stinking the place out as usual. God he's an awful watch. Fuck me.

Those cards were a bit random in terms of being unexpected considering Fury is now a Hearn fighter but cannot deny Povetkin deserved to win, he was the only one forcing the fight and actually landing shots.

Loma comfortably ahead and will win this but full respect to Luke Campbell, this is a brilliant effort from him. More than stood his ground against a guy who routinely embarrasses world class fighters. Great stuff.

Campbell did great. Loma is simply sensational and has the answer to everything.

I had the Loma fight level going into the 11th, thought Campbell was excellent but Loma just showed how good he is with that KD and getting over the line.

Thought a lot of rounds were close, some of the body work Campbell put in was very impressive. Either way I don't think the cards were nearly as wide as they ended up. Same goes for the dire Fury and Povetkin fight, it was shite but it was close.

I could see Campbell taking 4 of the rounds at the very most, and that might be generous.

Not a chance anyone in their right mind buys that joke fight.

More interesting was Del Boy's hilarious rant at Hearn and Sky today at the Taylor v Prograis press conference. He was right too, whilst the main event is a great fight for hardcore boxing fans it isn't a PPV stand-alone fight, you need Chisora v Parker on the card too (and even then it's debatable IMO). Plus he brings a lot of fans with him.

Light heavyweight unification tonight probably the best fight of the year up there with Spence and Porter, crap promotional work on it though. Fancy Bertabiev to win a UD.

Agreed, there's no way it can be anything other than a quality fight. It's scandalous that it's not being shown on TV over here. I'm going Gvozdyk by KO.

Gvozdyk for me. Beterbiev has been too inactive mainly through injury.

Berterbiev is some fighter, just walked through Gvozdyk who had success himself, but seemed mentally broken by round 9, AB seemed assured from the opening bell. Kovalev needs to retire when of he beats Canelo, he won't want any of that smoke.

Matchroom card tonight, Cheeseman v Fitgzerald, Ritson V Davies Jr and Bakolie V Johnson should be fun fights.

I probably had Cheeseman/ Fitzy down as a tie, thought the judges might favour the current holder though so was a bit surprised. Superb though, wish I was in Newcastle for it but town was bouncing.

Fitz won by a round or 2 for me. I had him winning the last 5 rounds conclusively and nicking a couple of subjective ones early on.

Cheeseman started to run too much IMO.

I thought the Ritson fight was the closer fight, a draw would have been fair there.

Adam the seat sniffer Smith was a disgrace on commentary, was rimming Cheeseman and then Ritson all the way through the fights. I had Fitz winning by a round, a lot of the early rounds were close and Cheeseman landed most of his shots on the gloves, just because he was dancing and moving around well it doesn't mean he was winning comfortably, Fitz won every one of the last 4 for me and had it gone another round he'd have stopped Cheeseman.

Ritson won for me but was a lot closer than the judges and the bellend on commentary had it.

They hate the fact Fitz has beaten 2 of their hyped up ‘new generation’ fighters when he wasn’t supposed to.

Saying that, I’ve no idea why Cheeseman is talked about as much as he is, domestic level and nothing more from what I can see.

Got my doubts on Ritson too, outclassed at European level when he stepped up and was exposed as a banger and not much more. His head movement was a lot better on Saturday though but it seemed his power hasn’t gone up to the new weight. Maybe he should still campaign at lightweight.
