I'm happier to play the game, tbh. We've already missed a few matches and, as someone pointed out elsewhere, it means we'll still have Matt Smith in the squad to face Sheffield Utd.

What our fans tend to reply with when someone calls us Bristol; "You wouldn't say just Sheffield or Manchester." Yet just today I've seen two of our fans on forums call you Sheffield which is awkward... (this is not a dig at Hodge by the way). Personally it doesn't bother me when we get called Bristol, we all know who they mean. The ones who get wound up by it are the same ones who chant "there's only ONE team in Bristol"

Bit of a farcical decision to fine West Ham less than their match winnings for an ineligible player scoring the winner against us.

Surely we are due some form of recompense?

Completely contradicts the decision in MK v Chesterfield and in that case selecting the bloke in question was hardly match defining.

West ham are to well liked and are too big a club to ever get punished properly if it was you whod done it you probably would of got thrown out

It's been established that according to the rules he shouldn't have been playing. Seems strange that we don't get anything, especially as he had such a big baring on the result. A £71000 fine, ha they get £90000 for reaching the 5th round? Hardly a punishment is it?

That said I'm just glad they didn't ask for a replay or put us through. We really didn't need an extra game.
