A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Howe left us all wondering what might have been, same as Liverpool. Taking West Brom out of the picture (because the played their reserves) we've played some good stuff for spells against two near full strength premiership sides this season, one decent and one struggling, and both times we've ultimately come up short. No shame in that.

However you can't bit wonder what our full strength side would have done. The result may have been the same, but we'll never know. Yesterday was really disappointing - but not because we lost. Don't overly care about that. But because we could have given a much better account of ourselves I feel. I would have been perfectly happy in losing, but playing well, giving Villa problems and showing what we can do. But we didn't do that.

'Yippee aye ey, yippee aye ohhh...'

Is that all what Villa ever chant these days?

Possibly the cringiest chant in English football, ever.

That mantle has to go to Hull 'mauled by the tigers' City surely?

It was purely tongue in cheek.

FA Cup > Alex Pearce leading us to the Premier League, again.

Fair enough.More than likely Alex Pearce leading us to mid table.

I expect us to get our usual cup draw which is a championship side.Middlesbrough or Derby away.

Middlesborough - You lucky sods.

The thing is, if you progress to round 5, the chances of getting a big game are quite likely, but with the amount of eliminations of the big teams this year, there are only a few draws you'd actually fancy.

Three draws, three Championship clubs away.

What a shit competition.

We got knocked out of the League Cup at Pride Park earlier in the season too.

Can you play that poorly again please?

Hopefully similar price to the League Cup tie!

Would be happy with that.Always enjoyed going to Pride Park/Ipro.Hopefully we might even manage to score a goal this time.We haven't in the previous 2 games against Derby this season.Maybe we will even bring 1000 fans.

We've won twice in 36 years at Bramall Lane :(

I thought we were destined for a reunion with Nigel when there were us two left in the last four balls to be drawn. Glad it wasn't to be.

I really hope we win :(

Cambridge at home is really winnable and I've never seen us in a QF!

As well as facing 3 Championship sides away in this season's FA Cup, it also means that our last FIVE cup draws have been a team in the same league away from home...

15 Quid for Derby away. Not a bad price.I don't give us much of a chance though.

Shouldn't West Ham be thrown out of he FA Cup? They played that Sierra Leone player without FIFA or the SL FA agreement (they are both saying he should not have played), and he scored the winner.

Why shouldn't he play? They pay his wages after all, he is their employee.

Bristol City just want some money rather than going through to the next round..

Maybe West Ham will lose at West Brom to save any fuss...

Because the rules say he cannot play for Wet Spam whilst on international duty. The fact he left the tournament early with an njury then played for the spammers, still means he cannot play in the FA cup tie

Exciting tie v Reading tomorrow.

The only tie which guarantees a Championship side in the Qf's

I think Reading will sneak this one. We'll have a pretty much full team change from Tuesday IMO.
Although saying that, I'd love to get through as I can see a Semi Final spot begging to be taken.

Can't see anything other than a Derby win unless they play their reserves.Don't think we will make a lot of changes.

I think it'll still be a strongish team, we've never been one for putting the kids in under Mac.

Roos
Warnock
Albentosa (if fit)
Keogh
Shotton

Mascarell
Bryson
Hendrick

Lingard
Bent
Dawkins

Rest Grant, Buxton, Christie, Forsyth, Ward, Hughes and Ince.

That side will probably be too good for us to beat.Would be fairly happy with a draw and a replay at the Madejski.

Only Christie and Hendrick to retain their places from Tuesday's game.

A draw would be the worst possible result for us and I think if it's heading for a draw, Mac would rather go all-out attack. We simply cannot afford any more games than we have. We play Saturday Tuesday pretty much all season from now on.

I agree from a Derby point of view that a replay is the last thing they want. With us in mid table with no chance of getting a playoff place and highly unlikely to go down i hope we give it a good go tomorrow.Hopefully it will be closer than the league cup meeting in September and the league game at the Madejski.
