Eighth in Div4 is too low a position for former Second Division stalwarts Crewe to be occupying so the visit to Gresty Road of traditional non-league battlers Yeovil should see maximum points and a shift back into the play-off zone for the home team.

I wonder if that loon with the bell will turn up.

We're on a roll, two wins and clean sheets in a row, only 3 points off the play offs. All thoughts of relegation have been banished and we're targetting the automatic promotion places.

Win and the draws at Luton and Notts County become decent results, fail to win this and it starts to become a worrying run of results.

Crewe 1-0 Yeovil (Lowe) 3,640 (210 Glovers)

Another win, great 3 points thoroughly deserved. First half was a bit dull but we changed to 433 for the start of the second and went for it. Fantastic free kick from Matty Dolan to win it. Crewe hit the bar twice but otherwise didn't look dangerous apart from Ryan Lowe in the first 20 mins of the game. We hit the post but not too many clear chances, however bossed the second 45.

Not sure this boring the opposition into submission is working, Dull Davis.

Personally thought it was abit of a smash and grab by Yeovil, we could and probably should have been at least 2 up at HT, and actually played pretty well imo. 2nd half was poor though, only really Dagnall hitting the bar again, we didn't do much else, huffed and puffed but created little. Yeovil didn't really create much either, they look a funny team, don't really look very good, but not terrible, no outstanding players but no really poor ones, just very dull and average. It was enough today though so fair play to them.

Only positive of today is we're a game closer to his removal. And it will happen this season. Just knew the jammy fucker would start the season in good nick only to immediately run out of steam when the pressure was off...

You have way too much faith. The Davis and Turton joint testimonial is going to be epic though.

Yeh,bit silly this locking threads nonsense, isn't it?
I ask a serious yet fun question and for some reason the moderating gestapo decide to close it off pronto.
Nothing offensive or risque in my wording so should have just been left for 'the people to decide' if that thread was a goer,so to speak.

They aren't sacking him. They really should if we don't finish inside the top 10, given the 'promotion is the aim' stuff they were spouting in the summer. As long as we don't drop too near the relegation zone, he'll be safe as houses. They have no clue on who to replace him with, he's going nowhere until they figure that out.

I'm gonna put this game down to not getting the rub of the green and hopefully our current 12th berth is as low as we go this season.

Funny how people's perceptions differ. The first half wasn't great all round, although Krysiak made a couple of vital interventions, but we came out fired up in the second and took the game to you. There weren't many clear chances that's true but we were pushing forward quickly and didn't give you a look in. It was very comfortable for us in the end. We're not a promotion team but we played well in the 2nd half yesterday.

Odd game in the end, Crewe were very decent first half, and the runs of Lowe and Dagnall caused us all sorts of issues. I do agree we were a little fortunate to go in at half time 0-0, but as soon as we scored Crewe seemed to disintegrate, and once Eaves was on we never looked like losing.

Really not sure what to make of us at the moment - this mini-run has at least shown how overblown the hysterical reaction by some of our fans after out defeat at Plymouth was - but it's a huge improvement on last year.

Ha, yes pal it does get rowdy in there and especially when I'm in.

So what's the reason for your clubs demise?

Demise? Return to status quo, you mean?
I wonder which will happen first: Status Quo announce their retirement OR Tranmere return to Div4 (which would be an upwards move for them and reason to celebrate).
