The Final

Well, it all comes down to this. Nearly several months of work and for what? My own albums not even making the final. If there's one thing this has taught me about music on this forum, is just don't talk about it; people will secretly hate you and the band's you like. Also, don't say you like any mainstream 'shit'; the music police will tear you apart (ay, ay, see what I did there).

Anyways, these two albums are two I didn't expect to make it this far. But looking at the bigger picture, these two albums were bloody influential and have evidently stood the tests of time. Each band had short lived success but that hasn't stopped original members from progressing.

Thanks for the continued support guys, nice to know it wasn't all for nothing.

Between, say 1989 and 1991, you could go to any Manchester indie night and pretty much hear the entire Stone Roses album over the course of the night, usually to a rapturous response from the punters. I voted for it, but I doubt I could ever listen to it again.

Quite an anti-climax really. Id say Roses are deserved winners, seeing as they've completely blown away everyone they've come up against.

As I said before, I quite like the Stone Roses however top album of all time? Not a chance. Probably wouldn't even make a top 50 from me.

Still, the people have spoken, and the people are idiots. Definitely should have been OK Computer...

It's a good job we all have different tastes in music really or it'd be rather boring. I'd have the Stone Roses album in my top 10 defintely but I wouldn't have OK Computer anywhere near, not even in my top 1000 really.

I turned my back on the roses and went for Joy Division who I overlooked somehow. Thanks for running Paul and found some good stuff through this.

Yeah, thanks to Paul for running this. It certainly helped me find a few decent albums that I'd previously never heard of.
