I hate to see any club at risk of going under as it's the fans who suffer most, how would we all feel if it was our club at risk?

Ladies team and several "companies" associated with Notts County, including the banqueting setup.
I have been told though that when businesses are sold with many different companies under the main one this can happen.
Buyers would rather just do a deal and contract for one company rather than several for the same outcome.

outside looking in and all that because I've not seen us all season and I know we've got bigger issues in the ownership.

but fuck me, Sheridan is shite isn't he? All his signings appear to be utter wank, he makes 4 or 5 changes a week but never drops the likes of Duffy, Collin and Dickinson who have been at fault for most goals if you judge by the highlights. He also appears to have some sort of running joke whereby he brings on an extra defender when we're losing every week.

If the club really is up for sale and actively so then there's no point sacking him obviously but there can't be much other than that keeping him in the job.

Surely this is the latest in a long line of cases the HMRC have brought in order to try and make a statement. Forgive my ignorance but is your situation really that dire? 500k while a big deal to local businesses is not in the same league as what we or pompey owed.

I always felt Sheridan was th right man for us to avoid relegation. His use of a back five meant we were hard to beat, but it also meant if went a goal down we could not play catch up. He had a plan A which worked enough to keep us in the league, but needed a plan B and C to get us out at the other end.

What system does he play, and has he introduced any flexibility?

Worrying times, this is what it will be like for ourselves when Becchetti finally has enough and leaves us in his debts.

Feel sorry to see the Notts Ladies team go though.

Dunno. He's tried all of them.

Someone will come in so you can fraud a promotion again.

Seriously, fans whether it be county, Mansfield or whoever, there's nothing you can do.

What I would like the league to introduce is that if a club goes into admin within a decade of last doing so their penalty is double.

Makes a random and welcome change for county and Chesterfield to be in financial chaos and us swimming along nicely

Delighted you've posted this just as it appears we have a new owner. Merry Christmas.

Let's hope Hardy has a good idea of how to run a football club.

I wonder if he's got the banqueting etc, the stuff that actually makes money as part of the deal?

Hopefully it means we will get some more cash to invest in a spine of a team that doesn't crumble. Sheridan hasn't kicked out the bad habits, we just have another set of mercenaries who don't give a shit

Good news for Notts. Hopefully they'll be run better than what they have been for the past few years.

What sort of resources will Hardy bring?

Tedious levels of ego and banter knowing the bloke.

No one really knows about his wealth because his business has only really taken off the last couple of years. Owns the Nottinghamshire Country Club too - I doubt a country club with two 18 hole courses was cheap.

He was a pro footballer too so that might be worth something.

Give him a go at centre back, can't be worse than Duffy.

Undecided on Hardy but willing to give him a chance. Another social media owner probably isn't what we need but I do think someone local with really strong Nottingham links could be a good thing at a time when Forest are having another fling with a faceless foreign owner. He needs to focus on that.

An owner with an ego & no-one knows how much money he actually has...

well, someone will, it's pretty obvious what his two main businesses are and Paragon have their accounts published publicly so it wouldn't take much investigating. He's a not one of those wheeler dealer types. He's clearly not foreign sugar daddy rich, just successful local businessman rich - money was never the issue with Trew, he just had no fucking idea how to use it.

So it seems not only has the price been set to £3m then upped to £5m but also the take over should be in days rather than weeks and Hardy will be paying the players wages this month.
