also factually incorrect as the losing streak is only league games, we beat Boreham Wood in the cup.

Paul Cox would be a decent shout for you guys if you dropped to the conference, although fuck me his brand of football is non-existent.

Well our new owner has just taken "owner of Notts County" off his Twitter profile

Shouldn't have put it on before signing contracts but still, shit creek comes to mind.

We are the most consistently calamitous club in the world. It's sort of great.

Didn't realise this wasn't finalised. Thought it was Hardy who sacked JS? And if he's not the owner yet what was he doing on twitter banging on about £20 for home fans on Saturday?

Wonder who'll be taking the money from the gate receipts Saturday?

Maybe trew holding out for a last payday?

Saturday is going to be delightful. Just the opposition we need when things are at breaking point.

On the plus side maybe someone will run on the pitch and punch Michael O'Connor in the head.

Don't worry, we always lose to sides on crap runs, we specialise in it

6-0 I reckon, one of those games where the more we lose by the more fun it will be. I might even go.

As a Notts fan, we obviously needed the takeover to go through - but you know me - I also have a strong commitment to #banter and I'm not sure I can pass up the thought of this takeover going to shit. It feels like the perfect end to our story.

Bit of brinkmanship right at the end of a deal.

I do wonder if Hardy has the finances to take over Notts, seemingly he's having doubts! There's probably quite a bit of hidden debt, mainly to Mr Trew which is probably being negotiated. All speculation mind.

I don't think Trew would put us into admin, he stands to lose too much

There seems to some pretty stiff competition in the 'Worst run club in the FL stakes' . More runners than most Grand Nationals, if you believe everything you read on here.

BBC reporting the "last minute snag" as being a loan to the Haydn Green estate. Haydn Green saved Notts County previously when Scardino's takeover never really had any cash behind it. The Supporters Trust then took over the running of the club.

I think its highly likely they have been putting further cash into Notts. Pavis has often talked about helping out during the Munto and Trew era's with loans

Nah, the loans from pre-2010 - still seems an odd one but 1.5m is enough to sink the deal I would imagine

What are Notts fans opinions on Derek Pavis, since he sold up?

Stability for Notts has been like watching an old guy crawling across a frozen duckpond, trying to save his drowning dog, since Pavis handed over the keys.

Pavis has still been putting money into the club in recent years.

You hear all sorts of crap about Pavis from Notts fans

"He's a forest fan"
"He was a terrible chairman"
"Never put money in the club"

But truth is he did a decent job in the main, but his biggest issue was he pulled money out the club at the wrong time. He had a chance to invest when we were in division one and get us in the premier leagues formative years. It could have been a very different story. He did at least have us stable in the main. Selling to Scardino was a big mistake.

Unfortunately Notts is not a tempting target, why would a league two team be? Look at some of the recent takeovers like Morecambe by some Brazilian who's basically dissipated.

Hardy is the right kind of owner for Notts in the same way Trew was. I just hope it goes through because right now its not looking great

Pavis always seemed a double-edged sword, from an outsiders point of view, but there was no doubting that Notts seemed well run underneath him. Notts seem to be continously treading water since that Munto fiasco and without proper investment, I don't see where it will end for you lot.

A bit like our rivals over in Derbyshire. They are in a heap of trouble after serious mis-management and now their owner wants £15MILLION! for them, despite overseeing crazily ambitious spending. Nobody buys small provincial football clubs for that kind of cash, so where does the haemorrhaging end and financial progress begin?

So many clubs are suffering from spurious handling that it can only be a matter of time before we lose one or two. Too many loyal supporters are having to cross fingers, when all we want to see is football. My own club is currently being managed properly; though obviously with the aid of a wealthy benefactor; who, let's make no bones about it, stopped us going to the wall, after years of our own financial muggings, and we finally feel safer, after nearly two decades of trouble. Through the bad times, and the very few good times, all we've really wanted is a club to support and cherish. Success is all well and good; but no lower league fan can convince anyone that they're in it for the success.

Hardy is indicating he's bought the club on Twitter. Queue more drama as he removes it when the latest debt has been found

Think a bigger meltdown will happen around 3pm this Saturday when 5k Notts fans realise we've been humiliated 6 - 0 at home, with Evans playing the clown celebrating as the 6th goes in.

I saw he was odds on favourite earlier tonight.

He had a good short term impact on us last season, but it all came crashing back down to earth when he went toe to toe with our idiot owner who tried to force him to do things the ways he wanted (Like picking the team and forcing Nolan to play himself). Nolan apparently threatened to go to the press about this and Becchetti removed him as manager without hesitation. Our players started off well under him but they gradually slipped back into lazy fuckers after the owners started probing around the team - Something which has been evident under all the managers we've had here since Becchetti took over.

Becchetti also apparently forced him to play as well, even though Nolan didn't feel up to it - It showed on the pitch, his performances were very laboured. Although he was unlucky not to score for us on a few occassions with his trade mark late runs into the box.

His style was very much Sam Allardyce-esc. Direct balls and set up to be difficult to beat away from home - Which did work for us for a while, we secured two very impressive 1-0 aways wins at Portsmouth and Oxford like this and a scrappy 1-0 win at your place.

If he was to come back here as a manager he'd probably get a mixed reception, whilst it was far too early to give him a proper assessment as a manager because he was treated very unfairly (Like all our other managers the last 3 years) he rubbed quite a few fans up the wrong way at our POTY awards, when he got pissed and openly slagged off the clubs players he worked with infront of all the supporters - One of the players was a certain Scott Kashket who is now banging them in for Wycombe.......Nolan said he was a useless footballer and that he was too small and lightweight. As you can imagine, this really did not go down too well.

He'd love nothing more than to stick one over the Italians here, he told one of my mates when he met him in the summer that he HATED Becchetti and that the man would run us into the ground. He was right.

So it is Kevin then, well our last manager had experience and he did not do well.

Still under embargo, so we've fucked it.
