Well played Veggie. I had the winning move set up to follow your and Howard's go so you beat me to it. Fair play.

Just to prove, it would have been:

Locke to Billiard Room
Move Go Compare Guy 3 rooms in any direction to Foyer
Move Go Compare Guy 2 rooms in any direction to Parlour

Then after coming in the Billiard Room I was going to attack him with the big red hammer (4 points)
Why did you not attack him when you had the chance? people wouldn't have had enough cards to stop you

Don't even joke about that.

Start times were posted each time...

Yeah, doesn't help if I don't get on here to see those start times though. Or if I do see it and then forget and think it's actually an hour after the time stated...

Excellent game LR, really well thought out.

Not sure I'd be capable of running it, but if we found someone willing to, would anyone else be interested in playing a fleshed out version of that as a separate forum game some time?

Yeah I'd be interested.

Are you talking about when we were in the Lilac room? I had Potter down in the Dining Room at that point who could see us. I'm guessing I've forgotten to update their position at one point then if you think we had a clear shot.

It would be great to play again. I was genuinely thinking yesterday that you could make this into a board game and sell it.

I think Potter was in the dining hall at that point, they only moved out on their final turn.

It was a very good game- almost a reverse cluedo. Very well run LR- thought Dave (and Hodge) had it in the bag at one point. I wouldn't be against playing this a seperate forum game either. I'm guessing the rest of THW will be a lot easier than this?

That's what I thought. I was looking for every possible combo with the move any direction cards to get him and I into the same room without being seen but couldn't spot one, so had to delay it a turn. But you beat us to it, fair play mate.

Yeah this would totally work as a boardgame. I've play tested a few (know a couple of designers) and this would definitely work.

Must admit, I was surprised to see some teams going gung ho with their weapons early doors. I know it got rid of the failure cards quicker but my tactic was to keep hold of as many cards as possible until the end. That was pretty much the only thing I understood over the first two days.

I went with that tactic, I'm lucky I was so terrible at it!

I enjoy the fact we were close to winning (rather unjustly) despite us basically failing to be around the entire time and lacking any strategy

So, no excuses from me there, I'm not psychic like Dave and Hodge, and being totally honest I struggled to come to terms with the game after missing the first night when everyone was getting to grips with it.

I'll make up for it though in coming rounds, make no bones though, I've lost my crown.... As the previous incumbent I now crown

Dave rumbled me when I accidentally mentioned "Dr Lucky" in the initial rules post. Devastated as it looks like I may have been able to pass it off completely as my own original idea if he hadn't seen that. At least I got to time him out though in revenge.

I actually own "Save Dr. Lucky" which is the prequel to this (works the opposite way on a sinking ship where you have to save Dr. L-I mean the Go Compare Guy's life).

Treasures

There are 12 treasures which have been distributed randomly, 1 to each of the boss locations. The 12 treasures consist of 2 Exit Keys, 9 treasures, 1 Cobra.

The 9 treasures are:

The Runesword
The Crown of Glory
The Holy Chalice
The Ring of Power
The Chain of Truth
Hand of Midas
Flying Carpet
The Dagger of Time
Magic Lamp

Some of these have special powers. You need at least 3 treasures and at least 1 Exit Key in order to escape the Haunted Woods [must travel to exit as well]. The Cobra is the booby prize. If you obtain this, you will have to waste time dropping it off at the Snake Pit before you can escape from the Haunted Woods.

Link have now been PM'd what treasure they have won by conquering the Menacing Mansion.

Turn 4 movement phase

Map
Ui7OZLH.png

Everyone will be moving off from the menacing mansion. Indy going there meant that nobody could do their own individual events last turn.

Indy: 2
Potter (1-8 movement dice): 8
Link: 1
Howard: 2
Locke: 6

Link has to land on one of the black arrows which means he ends this turn back on the Menacing Mansion space (no boss to fight and not in the dungeon).

Everyone else please PM me your movement choices by 7.30 pm tonight.

I didn't move the Demon King at the end of turn 3 because everyone was safe from him at the Menacing Mansion (not because I forgot to).

I watched an hour or so of youtube videos before we started playing and still wasn't sure on the fucking rules! I'm still a bit unsure on a few things!

Really good game though and worked well on here. Epic tried his best to fuck it up the little c***.
You try playing this 8 hours behind at school.

Potter (1-8 movement dice): Temple of Martyrs
Link: The Menacing Mansion
Howard: 75
Locke: 69

Potter rides up to THE TEMPLE OF MARTYRS on his bicycle. He finds his way into the heart of the temple, there are a few traps and tricks to get around but his practice in getting through the obstacles that were protecting the Philosopher's Stone comes in handy.

So it's just a case of grabbing that treasure right in front of him. He reaches out to take it but a spiky BANDAGED ARM grabs his arm!........

Harry must now face....
