SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:

  • We heard from Abe Schwartz who blamed the fans for the MLB strike.
  • We saw a vignette featuring Leslie Nielsen, Randy Savage and Ray Rougeau with Nielsen claiming he would locate the Undertaker at Summerslam.
  • Ted Dibiase & Paul Bearer were guests on the King's Court, Bearer said that his Undertaker would destroy Dibiase's Undertaker at Summerslam. Dibiase's Undertaker then came to the ring and choked bearer before the lights flickered and went out, Bearer managed to escape the ring.
MATCH RESULTS

1# The 1-2-3 Kid bt. Owen Hart (w/ Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) Via DQ
(Neidhart clotheslined the 1-2-3 Kid whilst having a half crab applied to Owen. Post-match, Owen put the sharpshooter on to the Kid until officials pulled him off.)

2# Duke "The Dumpster" Droese bt. Nick Barbarry
3# Kwang (w/ Harvey Wippleman) bt. Tony Roy
(Ted Dibiase was on commentary for this match.)

4# Mabel (w/ Oscar) bt. Raymond Roy

  • Leslie Nielsen and George Kennedy searched for the Undertaker throughout the show.

1# Bam Bam Bigelow & I.R.S (w/ Ted Dibiase) bt. The Headshrinkers (w/ Capt. Lou Albano & Afa) Via DQ
(Afa attacked Bigelow after Bigelow struck Albano to cause the DQ. Post-match, all 4 men brawled backstage. Note - This was scheduled to be a WWF Tag Team title match but Shawn Michaels & Diesel won them last night at a live event.)

2# Alundra Blayze bt. Bull Nakano (w/ Luna Vachon) to retain the WWF Women's Championship
3# Razor Ramon (w/ Walter Payton) bt. Diesel (w/ Shawn Michaels) to become the new WWF Intercontinental Champion
(Michaels accidentally superkicked Diesel which cost his bodyguard the title. Post-match, Diesel stalked Michaels backstage as Razor, Payton and Payton's son Jarrett celebrated in the ring.)

4# Tatanka bt. Lex Luger
(Luger was distracted by Ted Dibiase at ringside who had a bag full of money with him. Post-match, Dibiase confronted Luger as Luger kicked the bag of money out of his hand. Tatanka then attacked Luger from behind and hit him with two samoan drops before hugging Dibiase. As they were about to leave, Dibiase told him to give him a little more so Tatanka applied the Million Dollar dream before stuffing a dollar bill in his mouth.)

5# "Double J" Jeff Jarrett bt. Mabel (w/ Oscar)
6# Bret "Hitman" Hart bt. Owen Hart in a Steel Cage match to retain the WWF Championship
(Before the match, Vince McMahon & Randy Savage interviewed members of the Hart Family. Post-match, Neidhart jumped over the steel railing and clotheslined Davey Boy Smith from behind sending both he and his wife Diana over the railings. Neidhart then locked the cage and double teamed Bret along with Owen, Neidhart knocked down various Hart brothers who tried to get in to the cage but it wasn't until Davey Boy Smith climbed in to the cage they left. Todd Pettengill interviewed Owen and The Anvil as they went backstage.)

7# The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) bt. The Undertaker (w/ Ted Dibiase)
(Before the match, Paul Bearer came to ringside with two druids and pulled a larger urn out of the casket. He opened to reveal a bright light to signal his Undertaker to make his way to the ring. Post-match, the druids returned to ringside with the casket and Undertaker rolled Dibiase's Undertaker in to the casket and shut the lid. Leslie Nielson and George Kennedy were shown backstage where they found the casket empty, and then found a closed briefcase before saying that the "case is closed".)

That was the known back then, RAW was also the B show up until about 1996. You got to see about 3 weeks worth of RAW tapings though.

  • We hear comments from Chuck Norris during the Survivor Series report ahead of him being the special enforcer at the Survivor Series.
  • Vince McMahon announced that due to contract negotiations, Randy Savage has left the World Wrestling Federation and thanked him for everything he has contributed over the years.
  • The 1-2-3 Kid was the guest on the King's Court and spoke about how he will be facing Mr. Bob Backlund next week on Raw and spoke about the crossface chickenwing. Backlund came to the ring and tried to apply the hold but the Kid kicked him out of the ring. Bret then came to the ring for back up before Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart came down.
  • Lawler was talking strategy with Sleazy, Queazy and Cheezy before Dink, Wink and Pink came down after them.

  • We see a video from I.R.S who claims that just because you die, it doesn't mean you can avoid paying your taxes
  • Owen Hart and The British Bulldog were guests on the King's Court hyping the Submission match at the Survivor Series between Bob Backlund and Bret Hart for the WWF Championship. Lawler claims Backlund is still champion, and the Bulldog says that after Survivor Series Bret will still be the WWF Champion as he will not throw the towel in the ring at Survivor Series no matter what.
  • It was announced that it will be Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog and The Smoking Gunns vs. The Heavenly Bodies this sunday on the WWF Sunday Night Slam.

  • The show was supposed to start with Razor Ramon vs. Diesel but was postponed when Diesel, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart attacked Razor from behind as he was making his way to the ring.
  • Queazy, Sleazy and Cheezy were guests on the King's Court before Doink, Dink, Wink and Pink interrupted and sprayed all four members of the King's Court with Super Soaker water guns.
  • We saw an I.R.S vignette where he was shown in a graveyard repossessing a burial plot bought by someone who recently died that I.R.S claimed was cheating on his taxes.

SURVIVORS - THE ROYAL FAMILY
(Post-match, Lawler berated his team before chasing after then. The clown midgets then came out from under the ring and ganged up against Lawler with Lawler running up the aisle before getting a pie in the face from Doink.)

3# Bob Backlund (w/ Owen Hart) bt. Bret "Hitman" Hart (w/ British Bulldog) in a Submission match to become the NEW WWF Champion
(During the match, British Bulldog got knocked out after chasing Owen around the ring as he was interfering in the match. Backlund applied the crossface chicken wing and held the move for several minutes, during this time, Owen appeared to be crying and showing remorse to his mother and father, Stu and Helen Hart, who were sat at ringside. Eventually, Helen Hart threw in the towel to end the match with Owen quickly grabbing the towel and celebrating with it to show his false emotion. Post-match, Stu and Helen helped Bret backstage whilst Todd Pettengill spoke to Owen who said it was the best thanksgiving ever as Bret was no longer the WWF Champion. Owen said he would go on to be the WWF Tag Team, intercontinental and WWF Champion, and unlike Bret, would never surrender.)

(Chuck Norris was the special guest Troubleshooting referee for the match. During the match, Bam Bam Bigelow & King Kong Bundy appeared in the aisle and confronted Norris with I.R.S coming out of the crowd to attack the Undertaker by putting him in the sleeper before putting him in the casket. Moments later, Jeff Jarrett came down to confront Norris and got kicked and knocked to the ground. Eventually Undertaker kicked the 550 pounder before snapping the Japanese flag and throwing it in the casket, before closing it and winning the match.)

Lawler told the WWF Champion that he hoped Diesel and Bret Hart would eliminate each other from the WWF at the Royal Rumble, Diesel responded by tossing Lawler from the ring.
  • We saw a vignette promoting the debut of Kama.
  • Vince McMahon interviewed Vinny Pazienza in a pre-taped segment about his upcoming fight with Roberto Duran on January 14th in Atlantic City. Pazienza told Michaels that he was coming for him after he beats Duran after Michaels picked Duran to win the fight.
  • Stephanie Wiand interviewed Ted Dibiase backstage regarding the challenge from Lex Luger and the British Bulldog to Tatanka and Bam Bam, with Dibiase accepting the challenge for next week.

Lawler tried to goad Shatner before Shatner pushed Lawler out of the way before giving him the monkey flip.

(Jarrett originally won the match via count-out when Roadie clipped Razor's injured leg on the floor, however Jarrett goaded Razor in to restarting the match so he could win the title.)

2# The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) bt. I.R.S (w/ Ted Dibiase)
(Dibiase brought two druids to ringside during the match who interfered in the match throughout. Post-match, the druids attacked the Undertaker before he fought them off but moments later, King Kong Bundy came to the ring. As the phenom was distracted by Bundy, I.R.S attacked Paul Bearer from behind and stole the urn as Bundy assaulted the Undertaker with a series of elbow drops and splashes.)

3# Diesel vs. Bret "Hitman" Hart in a WWF Championship match ended in a draw
(Shawn Michaels interfered in the match initially by breaking the cover when Diesel had hit Bret with the jacknife powerbomb, Hebner ordered the match to continue. The next interference was by Bret's brother Owen who attacked his brother when he had the sharpshooter applied on the WWF Champion by throwing him sternum first in to an exposed turnbuckle but once again, Earl Hebner ordered the match to continue. Bob Backlund, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Jarrett, The Roadie and Owen Hart then attacked both participants when they and the referee was knocked down and the match was concluded as a draw. Post-match, officials tried to send all wrestlers to the locker room but Diesel knocked them to the floor before shaking hands with the Hitman.)

4# The 1-2-3 Kid & Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly bt. Bam Bam Bigelow & Tatanka (w/ Ted Dibiase) in the Final match of the WWF Tag Team Championship tournament to become the new WWF Tag Team Champions

We learned that it will be Diesel vs. Jeff Jarrett in 2 weeks for the WWF Championship and also Michaels said he would introduce his new bodyguard.
  • To end the show, Shawn Michaels said he was officially done with the announcing job.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:

  • We heard some opening pre-comments from Jeff Jarrett and Diesel regarding their WWF Championship match tonight.
  • We saw footage from WWF Superstars where Bret Hart won the WWF Magazine "award of the people". During the opening of the King's court, Lawler said Bret had only won the award as they excluded the votes from Japanese fans as he is a racist. Shawn Michaels came to the ring and introduced Psycho Sid as his new bodyguard. Sid said that he will be by michaels' side during the good and bad times, but there won't be any bad times.
  • Jim Cornette conducted an interview with Shawn Michaels, Michaels made the comment that Sid was big enough to fill Diesel's shoes and also to knock him right out of his shoes.

(Post-match, Bam Bam spoke of how LT was hiding behind his lawyer and manager, he proceeded to call LT a wimp and a punk before challenging him once again.)

(Post-match, Diesel kicked Roadie in the face before hitting the jacknife powerbomb on him. Shawn Michaels & Psycho Sid then appeared in the aisle with Diesel locking eyes with them.)
