Thought I’d start this as this is the time of the season where injuries seem to mount up for everyone. Do you have many injuries and if so are they to key players?

We’ve got a couple of bad ones...Troy Brown is out for the vast majority of the season with a knee injury. He’s a big loss but he’s had so many injuries this past 2 years so getting used to it now!

The latest huge blow is that Hiram Boateng is most likely out for 2-3 months. He really stepped up the past 10 games or so and linked so well with our front players. He will be a big miss and may well affect our results till he’s back.

Otherwise Christy Pym was out on Saturday so hoping that’s a short-term one.

Thoughts??

Our only one is Brighton loanee centre-half Ben Hall, who hasn’t featured all season with a groin injury and apparently suffered a set-back last week. We had him last season too, he’s solid and can pass the ball - will hopefully make a big difference at the back when fit.

We've just started to come out of an injury crisis.

Manny Oyeleke has been out since the start of October - Key player for us but due back next week.

Christiano Montano - Same as Manny due back next week also, big player last week for us.

Scott Quigley - Injured most of the season so far, not seen much of him bar getting poleaxed at Tranmere and not getting a stone waller!

Tom Pope - Playing but injured, not training all week to get through games at the moment. That crucial to us! Missed two games, both against Lincoln in which we conceded ten!

Thankfully our's is incredibly short:

Eddie Nolan - Played 90 minutes for the U23s last week after missing almost 2 months with a calf injury.

Paul Green - Out until the new year after breaking his leg against Carlisle back in August.

Makes a nice change from this time last year when we had 3 key players out.

Our worst injuries were both inflicted by MK Dons players during our game a few weeks ago.

Diallang Jaiyesimi is out for the rest of the season and Omar Sowumni is out until the New Year, both due to really bad tackles.

Other than them were have 6 other players out however several of those are due back in the next week or two.

We've not had the best of times with injuries this season so far.

Currently out

Joe Fryer (GK) Boro loanee suffered a leg-break in a freak collision with a Crewe player that saw both stretchered off.

Luke O'Reilly (GK) Out with stress, nothing in detail given.

Tom Parkes (D) Been out for a week after a leg injury against Macclesfield, not confirmed how long he'll be out yet.

Jason Kennedy (M) A recurring back problem has limited his appearances for almost two years now. Made only a couple of appearances last season, yet to appear this season, tentatively hoping he'll return after Christmas and make a difference.

Hallam Hope (F) Been injured for a few weeks now, after going away on international duty with Barbados. Details of the injury haven't been released.

Think that's actually the shortest injury list we've had all season long. This weekend saw Gary Liddle, Danny Grainger and Jamie Devitt all return to the squad. Grainger and Devitt having both missed the last couple of months through injury and went onto the bench. Mike Jones was out for the whole of September, Jack Sowerby missed a couple of games a couple weeks ago and Richie Bennett missed two or three games through injury.

Reminds me of the role Luton played in our drop in form post-Christmas that season we were going for automatic promotion when they put Grainger and Jones both out with long term injuries in a single match.

Elliott Whitehouse is unlikely to play again this season due to an ACL rupture but that was to be expected since he got the injury in July.

Harry Cardwell hasn’t played so far this season due to injury but he’s back in training now.

Harry Davies picked up an injury a few weeks back but I’d possibly also back in training.

We’re doing pretty well otherwise.

Indeed!

On that note Troy A-H has now retired apparently. A shame really as he’s a great player at this level but his knees are made crisps.

We've a couple "coming back from injury." Dunky is getting fragile these days and Jabo couldn't manage 90 minutes before his latest sick note but both should be "available" next weekend.

David Amoo did something to his hamstring yet again on saturday - poor buggar can't do 2 or 3 games in a week without breaking down.

Otherwise Barry Corr (7 cameos so far this season) is currently dealing with an ankle injury.

Ours have just about cleared up.

O'Connor's been involved in the last two games, Shackell made his return on Saturday, Frecklington made the bench but wasn't used and Akinde's had two or three games now but Eardley missed Colchester having gone off in the Carlisle game.

Bit of a shitter they all occured around the same time.

Sam Habergham is our only long term injury but even he's on the road to recovery.
Hopefully everyone bar Sam will be available for the FGR game on Saturday.
Certainly affected us in the last 3, missed Frecklington big time.

We've been in injury crisis mode all season. Durrell, Lloyd, Whitaker, Evans & Arthur are all missing currently.

Completely forgot about loanee Chiedoze Ogbene who’s gone back to Brentford to be scanned on an ankle injury. He’s another miss as is a useful impact player and is quick as fuck.

Crawley are very quiet about injuries. Most of the time you hear a player has been injured when he makes the bench afterwards.

With that caveat in mind the only injury we have at the moment is club captain Jimmy Smith who is out all season with an ACL.

Is this basically just the "getting excuses in early" thread?

Our main injuries are all starting to come back, and they were all looking to be fairly important players before they found themselves sidelined.

Lawson D'Ath came back within the last week or so, and looked fairly dangerous against Notts County but had a clear lack of match fitness.

Connor McGrandles fractured his eye socket (or something along them lines) in the first game of the season away at Oldham and got booed for his troubles, but he was looking excellent in preseason and until then had a great game, so hopefully he can come back in similar form.

Matheiu Baudry was on paper our strongest centre back, but honestly I have no idea where he's going to come in as our defence is looking so strong. He has no chance of displacing any of the back 5 without a suspension or an injury.

Then we've still got Ryan Harley to come back as well, so hopefully with no further issues, we could be even stronger in a few weeks time.

And you’ve not even mentioned Peter Pawlett, who’s the best of that lot and will be massive player for us this season (if we keep hold of him in January, that is). Also, If we can get Osman Sow fit, he’s way too good for this level.

All pretty encouraging when you consider the start we’ve made.

Aaah Troy! He was a huge fan of the lady with the larger posterior.

How on earth did I completely forget about Pawlett... I'm ashamed!

It's very encouraging. Dare I get my hopes up considering we've got all these to come back and Lincoln's squad depth seems questionable?

Poor old Troy.

A bit like Ledley King in that he'd be out for ages then come back into the side and look mustard before being out for another 8 weeks.

Confirmed that Boateng has torn his hip flexor and will be out until January. Bad news for us.

It’s even more annoying that he did it during the warm up before the Crawley game...

We can now add Lee Martin and Pierce Sweeney to the injury list. Also Christy Pym has apparently suffered a set back so will probably see James Hamon in goal for a while unless we play veteran, Chris Weale.

On the plus side Lee Holmes is back in training and Chiedozie Ogbene is due back from Brentford after recovering from an ankle injury...

Tbh anyone playing us at the moment should be licking their lips as we can’t keep the same team one game to the next.

We've only got 16 fit players, and 3 of those are 1 booking off a suspension. Only had 5 subs Saturday.

If we had Oyeleke fit all season we would have a 100% record and be 10 points clear :shut:
