Wonder what Wilder would have said if it was Clarke in place of Korey

Wilder would have said exactly the same.

He’s built up a reputation for being honest and fair.

Away at Leeds there was a tackle on George Baldock worse than that, a clear 2 footed lunge. In the post match interview Wilder didn’t slag off the Leeds player demanding it was red card. Instead he surprisingly played down the assault by the Leeds player and said you expect full blooded challenges in derbies.

The Fleck tackle was fairly common place years ago but by the letter of the law is now a red card. Some refs try to use common sense and don’t always give a red but no complaints from me, it’s good that these types of challenges are heavily punished.

A weird fact is that the ref for that Bristol City game at Bramall Lane was the same ref that officiated the Sheffield Derby. Flecks challenge was identical to the Ross Wallace challenge, went for the ball, not malicious but technically both feet off the ground with studs showing.

The ref sent off Fleck and doesn’t send of Wallace, which just proves the lack of consistency with the same ref. I think the main factor was he’d just sent off a SW player so he was very reluctant to send off a 2nd Wednesday player so soon. Proves how it’s never an exact science.

Any way I thought this thread might be all about Sheffield Wednesday.
It’s totally baffling but It seems that the whole SW first team is out injured, several are unavailable long term.
Good job SW built up such a strong squad, even Wednesdays 2nd 11 are half decent and should be good enough to comfortably stay up.

Antonee Robinson becomes the fifth player of ours to have surgery for an injury this season and is out until February, leaving us without a specialist LB until January. Anyone got Ashley Cole’s number?

AN hopeful he'll be back for the weekend, liking the prospect of him and Storey.

Yeah Storey has looked very good. Hope he plays them together at Birmingham but I’m fairly sure he’ll stick with Cuntington.
