When I first started supporting Notts we were battling away in the 2nd tier against the likes of West Ham and Newcastle. Even got promoted and spent 3 seasons in the top div beating Man U and Cloughies Forest on a fairly regular basis.

Then Warnock turned up and we won 2 play offs on the trot to again get in the top div. Years ago admittedly, but it pisses me off that we’re in the same league as the likes of Mansfield, let alone that they’re in a position to take the piss. Fair play lads, fill your boots, but you’ll always be a nothing club to me.

as mentioned in a previous thread it was be tragic to lose County, a good club with a good history and the thought of replacing them with a club like Salford City doesn’t bear thinking about really.

Always see Notts as similar to Vale, small two club city shared with more illustrious neighbours but generally doing well enough to pull in ok support and floating around League One mostly with the on/off jump higher and also occasional crisis. Decent away day too.

I hope they stay up, having seen them a couple of weeks back it will need a lot of work and some wise decisions in the next week or so.

Chesterfield are showing it’s not easy to recover if you do out the EFL.

No ill will from me either. I spent 4 happy years at Trent Poly, with the occasional visit to Meadow Lane, City Ground and a flutter or two at Colwick Park.
I'm not surprised County aren't at the sharp end of the table. They weren't all that last season, especially without the lad from Forest. But I am shocked that they are deep in the shite.
