You must have spent a fair wedge with those players you signed this season though. Probably more than the others

Most of the loans are free, matty longstaff is on £23k a week, which is extraordinary, we’re paying not 1p towards it.

Congrats btw, i said if you beat rochdale you’d go up, and again was right

I don’t know what allocation Swindon are going to give us for the game at the County Ground but regardless and I don’t give a fuck who this upsets but we should not give them a single seat more in the away end than they give us there. Especially knowing that the home capacity is reduced due to the safety certificate.

Cheers lad, took an epic last game though, we don't do boring promotions at the gas.
I was thinking more of bringing Oates, Hawkins and Johnson in at the start of the season. O'toole probably is on a decent wedge too - must admit I fancied you for autos when I saw you signing them.
Good luck in the play offs, i wasnt looking forward to them and will now watch them in comfort!

Talk is we only getting a cut down 900! So if that’s the case give them 900 and find a way to split the away end with home fans.

Literally any of the 4 could do it. Keep it tight at the county ground and I fancy us at home but we've been shite the last couple!

If that’s the case give them the half of the Lorne Street and that is it. Not having it we should be made mugs of on this.

Might be 1200 actually, they will use the stand behind the goal for home fans. We shouldn’t be giving 4000 to them when we get 1/3 in return. Especially when it’s likely home fans will miss out. Surely they can sort a barrier out for it.

I don’t get the ticket thing in the playoffs,

Clearly swindon and port vale have decent grounds, ours holds about 9,000 and northampton’s about 46.

If clubs don’t want the money i think clubs should get a reciprocal deal. like if we were playing port vale and could only offer them 1700 i wouldn’t be offended if that’s all they offered us back,

Saying yours holds 9,000 you haven’t sold it out all season you melt. Considering you won 46 at home in a row you still didn’t have a home sell out. The 6,009 home tickets that is.

If yours holds half ours then fair enough it’s an equal percentage thing isn’t it. If Swindon could offer us and choose not to then we should do the same for me… we won’t because we are “too nice” though!

Gonna try get a ticket for the final, it’s been such a close/mental end to the season, I feel quite close to all teams tbh

Can’t call it. Northampton will surely take some healing after today but if they can get the heads in the game, you’d expect them to be a tough nut to crack.

Swindon seem to have hit good form at the right time and have the creative edge.

I said Mansfield would win the league back in March and I’ve been shocked how they slipped off the pace. Can’t write them off but they’re not my most favourite team right now ha ha.

Vale impressed me today, without really looking dangerous. But the point is, they did what they had to do and did it well.

So with all that in mind, I’m going for a Swindon v Northampton final which will end up with a 2-1 Swindon win. But that’s all bollocks so who knows.

i’m not familiar with what a melt is? is that southern for northampton didn’t go up and have to slum it against mansfield?

no hostility here, if you get through to the final i’ll wish you all the best.

Whether you read this and you follow port vale, swindon, mansfield or northampton you’ll always have my respect, you follow you local club over some fancy premiership c***,

That in itself is worth it’s weight in gold.

crack on!

From a Vale perspective todays result is massive in relation to the play offs, had we scabbed in on four poor results and performances to boot then it would have been difficult to see us having any chance.

Going to Exeter and winning to secure it and actually putting in a resilient performance should at least see the mood in the camp (and fan base) completely different.

That and the Dazzler coming back to the dug out it’s been a big couple of days.

As I said though it’s flip of a coin stuff!

I’m just being sensitive mate. 4:30 alarm, just got home. What a rollercoaster, fair play to the gas but it’s a gut punch.

Northampton ;)

Have to say I liked at NL level they had a neutrals section which seemed decent.

I guess I’ll go with whoever takes less fans/underdog

No absolutely not. Swindon should get 2000 maximum and that is it. I am sick of us playing nice with other clubs on this and not getting anything in return. Frankly if it was up to me find the most restricted view section in the ground and stick them there.

So it’s down to four then:-

  • Northampton v Mansfield
  • Swindon v Port Vale

If looking at them you would say the teams are as follows

Northampton

Strength - Probably the leagues best and most reliable defence

Weakness - Not the most dynamic going forward

Port Vale

Strength - All round unit

Weakness - Notorious chokers

Swindon

Strength - Probably the most attractive team to watch

Weakness - Little bit one dimensional.

Mansfield

Strength - High class midfield

Weakness - Notorious chokers

Choose your fighter I guess!
Can you elaborate on One Dimensional?

Sure, when we played you at the County Ground you played a very pretty short passing game but were unable to adapt to when we pressed you and you paid the price. I just don’t think if you are challenged physically your teams strength is to adapt to that. Nothing disrespectful but that’s just how I see it.

Your plan A is very impressive when it works but I just don’t think beyond that if you are forced back you can tough it out and find another way to win.
