Payday 2 - PS4

I've bought quite alot of games this last month but they're all older games as me and a friend are playing them through online.

Pre ordered Mass Effect Andromeda today. Nowhere near as excited as I was for ME3, but needs to be done.

Been playing Mafia 3. It's okay so far, the documentary style story is a pretty cool take that I've not seen before. I have a couple of concerns though. A lot of the missions have been very similar so far, and even though there are some interesting details (like segregated stores, police responses depending on wealthiness of the area), it doesn't seem quite as in depth as Mafia 2. It's a bit of a silly one, but I remember things like switching on headlights and being able to refill at the gas station.

Got it for about £20, so I'm reasonably satisfied with it.

You could just drive a car if you want to experience that.

I always see you guys gashing about Persona on here, and now that this newest one is getting incredible reviews I can't help but want to check it out. Even though I still don't really know what the fuck it is/what it's about

Honestly it's hard to explain without making it sound shit.

It's a turn based JRPG where it's split into two sections. Half is going through dungeons and stuff. Half is living out your days in high school in Japanese. Cultivating friendships and doing other stuff like working jobs or finding ways to spend your free time.

It has the confidante system which ranks up your relationships with other party members and NPCs. Which helps you in the other part of the game as it strengthens your personas.

It's heavily story focused with a lot of development for the characters

Germany's electronic warehouse Saturn has it's Playstation "Days of Play" campaign with some nice discounts.

Actually I bought:

1 year PS Plus for 34.99 € ( £30)
Dishonored 2 ( + exclusive Metal plate ) for 19,99 € ( approx £17)

I loved Dishonored with the DLC's on the PS3 back then and I am sure I'll love the 2nd one, too.

What's your thoughts on it?

I loved the first one and although I think the second is also great there's definitely certain things I disliked. Not a fan of the new VA for The Outsider, or Corvo having a voice at all either tbh

i couldn't play it that much since i bought it because i am actually at the hospital until monday or tuesday. So far i played the first part with the introduction and the good Dishonored feeling was there immediatlely ( although i 'll play the first run as Emily Caldwell and not as Corvo Attano. Let's see if there is a difference because Emily has some nice skills too so far. What i really like @Dishonored i(1 and 2) is the steampunk setting

Steam sales been shit so far, hasn't it? Not a single thing after these first 2 days that's even tempted me...

I'm considering the FFX/X-2 remaster for a tenner.

The Valve complete pack is a ridiculously good deal too;

Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Day of Defeat: Source
Team Fortress Classic
Day of Defeat
Deathmatch Classic
Half-Life: Opposing Force
Ricochet
Half-Life
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Half-Life 2
Counter-Strike: Source
Half-Life 1: Source
Half-Life 2: Episode One
Portal
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Portal 2

£148.41 down to £13.20... 73p per game.

Bioshock 1-3 plus DLC, £9.99.

Other than that, yeah, it's a bit crap.

Saying all of this, I actually just picked up that Valve collection. I've been considering it for years and decided to finally go for it!

Also, Cities Skylines for 5.99 and Stardew Valley for 6.59 are FANTASTIC options for anybody who hasn't bought them yet.

Y'know, the only reason I've not bought Cities Skylines is because half of the game is locked away behind DLC, I'm sure the base game is great, but I don't like the practice of having so many 'expansion packs' (see: DLC) to get little things like disasters, day and night cycles ("The city changes during the hours of the day and affects citizen schedules. Traffic is visibly slower at night and some zoned areas do not work with full efficiency. This expansion will put you in control of managing the different aspects of the day and night cycles."), snow, and extra music...

I don't like supporting business practices such as that. Regarding Stardew Valley, I don't see the appeal.

Totally agree regarding DLC. I managed to play the game before the DLC came out so I never had this putting me off, and yeah, the base game is fantastic... probably the best city builder there's ever been. Despite the DLC thing, it's still worth the current price.

As for Stardew Valley, WOT MATE. It's got appeal coming out of every single corner of it.

Hmm, I'll consider Cities, I'm one of the weirdos who love SimCity, so that'll probably be a revelation to me.

Eh, Stardew Valley, it's Harvest Moon. Meh.

Harvest Moon, there's a blast from the past. Used to spend ages on that game back in the day. PS1 I think? I've not had a games console since the PS2 and even then I didn't use it that much. Must've got rid of that about 15 years ago.

I'm pleased someone's mentioned SimCity because I quite like strategy/build kind of games like that where you've got to balance what you're spending etc but I've never been able to really get into it (more down to not being that good at it or giving it enough time, I suppose). Is the latest one (4 years old now?) worth a look at?

Red Alert Command and Conquer was another old school game I really enjoyed when I was younger, but that went all futuristic at some point and I lost interest when it got like that.

FM's my main game and even with that, I tend to have a career game where I choose lower league clubs who are in the shit financially, terrible facilities etc and build them up before moving along to another club to do the same all over again.

One of my mates (comes from a farming background) has Farming Simulator 2017 that he drops onto when he can, which isn't very often to be fair.
