Our first win in 11 games and we're 1 point off the play-offs.

What the fuck have the rest of you been doing in that time?

Likewise, somehow we are still nominally in the race yet have been gubbins for a while including the record ever home defeat.

We ground out a 1-0 win today over Blackpool with a good set piece goal. Simon Eastwood pulled off 2 fantastic saves but then we missed chances as well. 2 poor teams really as it wasn't a good spectacle.

We were shit earlier in the season and had to play catch up!

We have a settled side, the youngsters have improved a lot (Haunstrup got torn a new arsehole at the Kassam but that wouldn't happen now) and our defence has tightened up.

Mainly though, our home form has kept us going. We've won 7 on the bounce now I think since Bradford stole all three points a few months back.

I still don't think we're that great and we still need to improve our away form if we're to stay in 6th place. Most of the teams around us still have to come to Fratton, too.

I wouldn't say stole, it was a poor game from 2 poor sides of which one had the quality to get the job done.

Draw would've been fair but you took the chance we gifted you. Funnily enough, since then, we've been doing similar to other teams.

It seems that unless you have far superior firepower like Wigan, then the teams with best defence will find themselves going up come May. I think the standard of defending is what sets this league apart from League 2 in general as some of the strikers in this division are no better than those in the bottom tier.

Rovers v Bury has been moved to a Monday night for TV, I'm sure that will pull in the views all over the globe. Who the fuck thinks that's TV worthy?

Cannot believe our game hasn’t been picked. Not that I’m complaining, means our fans will have to get off their pie eating arses if they want to see it live.

Blackburn away for us on Saturday, big game as a win for us will see us move 8 points in front.

Looking forward to my first trip to Ewood. Any pub/parking recommendations are welcome!

Will go for - Blackburn 1-2 Shrewsbury (Rodman, Nolan)

Come on Salop!!!

The away pub is the Postal Order (Wetherspoons) in town, 30 minutes walk from the ground. If you hide your colours you could probably get into any pub near the ground though. For parking, there's a few car parks within 5 minutes walk that charge about a fiver, there's a few free ones up Livesey Branch Road but they fill up by about 2 most matchdays.

Tough away game at Blackpool today. Although we won at home, I thought they looked a tidy outfit at our place. I’d take a draw

We're being forced to start a goalkeeper who has never played in the league before, I am even less confident about today now.

Two inform teams meet at the Moat today, Rovers boosted by signing Whiteman on a permanent. Will Plymouth suffer the loss of Diagouraga

I’d take a draw. Big surprise that it is Ness, who has not played for months and cannot be match fit, who has replaced Toums. Adams bought in Lamerais from nowhere and it worked, he appears to have rolled his dice again.

I can’t see you being as poor as you were at home so fully expect a close game. Draw seems favourite or a 1 goal win.

Key for us will be how the threesome of Ness, Sarcevic and Fox work together. If they can get the ball back and get it to Carey/Lamerias we will create chances. If not, could be a long day.

Marquis just missed a 1v1 when it was easier to score, story of his season so far.

Have to take a draw to Scunny considering the state of things, but disappointing considering how we played in the first half. Tough month ahead but the playoffs are still on!

That is a pretty great point all things considering. Without our normal keeper and playing an utterly bizzare formation against a team that is very strong at home. I'll take that for sure.
