Won a game have we?
Won a game have we?

Why is us finishing 4th so funny?

Five points behind MK with a game in hand on them and they visit us in a few weeks. I don’t think we’ll finish 4th but we should have enough to earn a play off place and if we do I hope we meet you because it will be an easy path for us to final given we beat you comfortably home and away. Even better play you at Wembley because it guarantees promotion for us because of your recent history in playoff finals.

You do realise that teams have bad games? Against you we were poor but were much better against Colchester. Partly because we have most of our players back. You wont get an easy ride if you meet us in the playoffs.
Plenty of time to go yet though

50 quid charity bet it is then? Or shall we call it 100 as you're so confident?

Tranmere seem confident then disappear when it gets serious probably realise they're over performing at the moment and are a lower mid table side without Norwood.

You could say that about a lot of teams, we'd be a lot lower without Maynard, Mansfield would be lower without Walker and Lincoln without Akinde etc. The best teams tend to have the best goalscorers.

Are you actually a parody? It’s almost like your trying too hard to troll, your the biggest hypocrite on here and disappear when you lose. Win one game and bounce around waving your **** about.

I don’t know if your comments above are to get me to bite but I will anyway. With regards to us over performing, If we are then surely Exeter are MASSIVELY over achieving?

I was being sarcastic in them comments, reading it back I see it doesn’t come across that way. I’m not expecting any easy games in the play offs.

Yeah I agree. But you've got the toughest run in. You did well 6 months ago then fell away. Same reason. Fixture list.

Nah. In the first week of the season that might have been true, but we have strengthened since then.

Jennings, Banks, Perkins, Pringle, Monthe, Ellis, Caprice (stop laughing Orient fans) and Davies are as good as most at this level.

Disappear when we lose? I went away for like 3 days when I was holiday haha.

Please Norwood just come clean about what you said regarding Tranmere outside KFC last month. It would break their fucking heart.

Your comments are ignorant beyond belief though, on a serious note. If you had any intellect you'd realise over the last 2 year's we've got the best budget than anyone in this league. Ollie Watkins left us Luton season and Stockley this season. Both worth more than your squad as one. Let's not think about the likes of Storey who also got sold for 750k to a championship side that went un-noticed. Your lack of lower league football is amusing. We aren't under performing in the slightest. We have a new manager who's coming to terms with a new team in his first managerial season. Play offs is about right. You've got a below midtable side with a great striker who........ came from exeter. Idiot. Without him you'd be below Notts County so get back under your rock

Why don't Tranmere fans stop arguing about if they're a premiership club cause they won a few league 2 matches or not and actually match my bet... 50 quid charity bet you don't come ABOVE sixth this season?

I opt for the loser to pay the Adam stansfield foundation.

Anyone (will take multiple people.. Max 3..) want to match it? Let me know your charity..

After weighing up all the evidence and taking into account arguments for and against, I have come to the conclusion that Devon Lad is an absolute cock.

I don’t even know why I’m giving you time of the day. Making stuff up about Norwood is laughable aswell, grow up. Take him away and we’d be below Notts, well what a stupid comment. We wouldn’t play with ten men would we, obviously whoever played wouldn’t of scored what he has but we wouldn’t be anywhere near bottom. What sort of argument is that anyway he’s our player so you can’t just take him away you can’t just pluck players out of teams that’s not how it works. Couldn’t you argue that we have more ambition than Exeter in that we held onto Norwood in January and you let Stockley go?

You’ve contradicted yourself above. You start by saying you’ve sold Watkins, Stockley & Storey and you’ve got the best budget but then you say in the same sentence you’re not under achieving. That doesn’t make sense. You can’t have it both ways. If a “below mid table side” sits above the “best budget” side in the league then surely Micky Mellon deserves praise and questions need to be asked about your manager?

Take your Exeter spectacles off and look at the bigger picture. If your side was that good you wouldn’t be playing in League 2.

Well at least it’s arguments going on between clubs and it doesn’t involve Mansfield, which makes a nice change

Norwood is an important player for Rovers and we’re undoubtedly stronger when he plays. However we won at Morecambe in his absence, something which fellow contenders Forest Green and Milton Keynes couldn’t manage. Definitely not a one man team.

Of the promotion/play-off contenders, have only seen Mansfield (away) good, Colchester (home) a bit negative and Exeter (home) poor. However one game is not enough to form a judgement of any team’s prospects.

Rovers are in a strong position to make the play-offs. While we have a difficult run-in, 4/6 of the games against rivals are at home, where we’ve generally done well. Nothing is nailed on at this stage, but daft for anyone to rule us out of contention.

Right.

Anyway, enough of Exeter and tranmere, back to proper promotion stuff, Mansfield and Lincoln

A win for us tonight would be massive, 5 on the bounce at, Lincoln not beaten since the turn of the year. Draw anyone?

These ignore buttons are cool. Only found them recently but don’t need to read any shite from Spanish stag or Devon lad any more.

Good times.

each to their own but whilst the ignore button is tempting, I do find it off putting to use. The idea of a forum is for individuals to post what they want (within reason of course). Clearly nobody is going to agree all the time, and that is kind of the beauty of this forum.

I have disagreements with Devon Lad etc but I think these kind of discussions are generally good for the forum. And before he chirps up, yes I probably shouldn't be posting on this thread anymore :)

I tried it for a day with that magpie and Spanish stag as a trial but whole swathes of threads went missing

Kinda true , we've scored 65 goals this season and Akinde has scored 13, its overall contribution that's more important than his goals.
We've had 20 different players scored for us this season.

I bet Akinde has scored a lot of goals that have won you 1 point or three though. We're not far off scoring 100 goals in all competitions. 71 goals in the league. All shared between 15/16 players.

We’ve decided to start scoring goals at home, 12 in the last 5 - all wins - have made a big difference to the GD.

Tonight should be tight with the 2 strongest defences (Lincoln 35) and Mansfield (30)
