On the subject of Power Court - see below...

This isn't in any way official and purely a concept, but this is fantastic.

The concept looks so good. Love the way theyve integrated the smaller/lower terraces (i hope) behind each goal with the larger Main Stands. Gives it such a different distinctive look.

Do hope the lighting 'halo' has a bit more panache to it than a lump of rectangular blue truss.

Congrats Nathan. Jones Manager of Season. Amazing acheivement. A little surpised they correctly looked beyond the top two moneybags, and id say Coberan had a great shout. Theyve improved more than us, going from finishing 20th last season to above us now, but still on parachute money as an offset.

Ive still not, and wont ever, fully forgive/forgot the manner he went and do accept grudingly it was an amazing reappointment. What a job hes done. I think theres a lot of others behind the scenes with a huge amount of the credit, starting at the top, but he is at the pointy end and this is a special reward for all the hard, long hours and heart and soul he puts into it.

Sumo vs Mitrovic would have been a sight to see! And I mean that with all the respect Sumo deserves!!

great shout that...
but we've had some great centre halves in my time watching the hatters...
bearing in mind the lack of pace mitrovic has who do you think would've done the best job in keeping him off the score sheet today?

• Terry Branston
• Chris Nichol
• Paul Futcher
• John Faulkner
• Alan Garner
• Mick Saxby
• Mal Donaghy
• Paul Price
• Steve Foster
• Clive Goodyear
• Paul Elliott
• John Dreyer
• Matthew Jackson
• Matthew Upson
• Marvin Johnson
• Curtis Davies
COME ON YOU HATTERS

Most of those are a bit before my time oaky! But the way my old man speaks about him and the few clips of Foster I’ve seen I’d have to go with him. Seemed a smart centre half

Davies the best I’ve seen when playing for us probably but different sort of centre half when he was with us, all about recovery pace which when defending Mitrovic isn’t the primary issue.

Now then my old friend, you must be thrilled to bits at the success of your team and wish you all the best in the play offs. Fantastic to be a Hatters fan eh and will be following your game.Fleetwood survived by the skin of their teeth, or was it goal difference. Either way it was almost as good as promotion, make of that what you will
Either way, enjoy and savour every monent

How does this Luton team compare to the 2006 team?

2006:
Beresford, Foley, Davis, Heikkenen, Coyne, Edwards, Underwood, Nicholls, Robinson, Howard, Vine

2022:
Shea, Bree, Bell, Bradley, Naismith, Burke, Mpanzu, Campbell, Lansbury, Cornick, Adebayo

For me, it's a lot closer than if you'd asked me 6 months ago. Undoubtedly, the 2022 team is the more hardworking, but there was a lot of individual quality in that 2006 team, which would've been stronger if Curtis Davies hadn't signed for WBA.

Combined XI:
Beresford, Foley, Davis, Bradley, Heikkenen, Coyne, Campbell, Nicholls, Edwards, Howard, Adebayo

I’ll be a bit controversial perhaps and say the current crop are somewhat better. I think tha perhaps speaks to how the game has changed since then though rather than anything else. 2006 feels a lifetime ago in terms of tactics and how the game is played. I’m not sure how that 06 side would have done in current championship where the proliferation of pressing and high intensity games feels greater than then.

A fullback like Foley, good player though he undoubtedly was, just wouldn’t suit a modern championship football match imo

Where do you sit Kenny out of interest? Ive lost track of UK prices and stuff but thats $22 a game. Sounds ok to me although its more than some clubs with big stadiums. How much is a pint, the cinema, a oack of cigarettes.

Same here just renewed. I’m in the main stand enclosure, not the best for atmosphere as it’s a a mix of the slightly older crowd with a parents and very young children (often sharing a seat ha) but in terms of actually being close to the game to the extent you feel a part of it, few better places in English football in my totally unbiased opinion. Few places where you feel so close to the action.

Great and deserved recognition. He has clearly worked his arse off this season.

Opens clubs eyes to him, if they were shut. If so, will the money get him to drop his drawers again?

He def came back smarter. Prob a lot richer. Maybe he will be smart enough and rich enough for now, to realise he has a lot of time and wait for the right big project. He has the drive to go far if he can keep learning and curb his temperament without losing his passion. I imagine he wants to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Maybe he can acheive the required middle steps with us as a medium Prem team Fish before going in to the penultimate step of a large Prem team. But i sure as shit think Gary Speed has some alternatives in his locker, in case he jumps again

Any insights or information on a potential Adebayo transfer? I have heard that there has been a lot of speculation and some potential bidders that are considering making an offer.

The only confirmed one was DC United for $4m which I don’t think meets our valuation of him. Nothing else concrete. There will be interest as the window closing approaches.

Thanks for your reply. Based on the current climate and market, a 24 year old striker scoring 16 goals in his first full season in the Championship and still developing, that is quite an offensive offer based on today's market.

If is risible at best. At worst insulting.

Oakroader, my old son how are you doing, hopefully a lot better than your team but early days and sure you'll soon be climbing up the table. Well mate Fleetwood have got one of your guys on loan for a season, Mendes Gomes, only saw him for around 30 minutes on Tuesday before he went off with a tight hamstring. Got to say he looked a real handful, what's your take on him ? All the best for the season
