After two good wins at home the Shakers visit Swindon who have had mixed results so far this season. Who will win? Thoughts, predictions and general chit chat all in here.

Should have Kasim and Obika in he starting line up for this. Keeper Vigouroux and defender Lloyd Jones serve their one match suspensions after last weekends disaster. Hopefully Rodgers finally gets the axe but don't count on it. My team would be:

GK: Henry

RWB: Furlong
CB: Sendles White
CB: Thompson
CB: Branco
LWB: Brophy

CM: Murray
CM: Kasim
CM: Doughty

ST: Obika
ST: Delfouneso

2-1 Town in a hard fought win.

That team is about right. You can argue the toss about Murray/Thomas/Goddard for the 3rd midfield slot.

Scoring is the big worry - everything else is pretty good.

Only seen him against Oxford (no strike partner) and Port Vale (partnered with Delfouneso, both debuts) but from what I've seen from him he's shown some nice touches, decent skill but doesn't seem to like getting himself in the box too much. You can tell he's got something about him, would like to see him partnered with Obika, just put Delfouneso in because he's the only one of our strikers to score a goal so far and has looked a lot better than the reviews we had on him. Norris really needs a goal though, doesn't seem settled yet.

In flashes he looks the part. Now Obika is fit I hope they can strike up a relationship. Not sure if Delfouneso is ahead of him or not.

Either way, they aint Ajose

He spent most of his two years with us 'needing a goal'. Then once he scored we all thought he'd push on but he never did. It's a shame as I think he has some quality about him, I think his head drops far too quickly though.

Possibly but he seems a confident lad. Don't think he'll ever score more than 10 in a season but happy to be proved wrong. Your fans got on his back a lot didn't they? Hope ours don't but it's inevitable if he doesn't produce the goods!

Decent fred title. Despite Bury's away form in the calendar year, I'm reasonably confident of a win, given Swindon's suspensions and the fact that they tend to give the opposition a lot of shots so far this season... and no team has had more up to this point in League One.

They didn't to begin with, but towards the end yeah it wasn't great for him. He never endeared himself to anyone here, with either work rate or goals.

Going to follow my familiar ' one point per away game ' prediction and go for a 2-2 draw.
Won 3 from 4 at home, but we still seem to be lacking away from home and that's been the case for around twelve months now.

Notice that the Fred title improves when a Shagger starts it?

Agreed B.F.C. T.A should be proud of himself.

Surely we are due another away win, (ironically our last one was at Swindon as well). However Bury fans are getting confident with our last three results coupled with Swindon's suspensions and inconsistent start. I think some of our fans are getting a bit too giddy, will try and keep my feet on the ground, 1-1 with a late Swindon equaliser.

I like to think we could produce the result we had against you in 1979, 8_ 0 tonking, Andy Rowland and Alan Mayes were our strike force , with Ray McHale running the midfield, 4 nil at half time and 4 more after the break, great result from a great season, well up til the end of January, then we slide in to mid table obscurity. Going for a 2 nil result for the Town, crowd 6500

Very good win considering the amount of players we have out at the moment. Seems that Barnett is out for a month and Cameron is no where near to being back so we're pretty screwed on that front.

Nice to see Hope grab another 2 goals and it'll be interesting to see if he starts next weekend or Vaughan comes straight back in. Anyway I didn't go so no idea if we deserved it or not.

Well deserved win. Barnett out for 6 weeks, Cameron out for a long time. Got told he's had another operation. Thin on the ground for defenders. Every player putting a shift in, great to see. Should be a 5000 plus crowd next week.

How is Andy Rowland doing I wonder?
I know that he was involved in the set up at Swindon a while back then I heard he had some major health issues .
Always liked Andy all those years ago at Gigg Lane, good honest centre forward and always a goal threat.
Hope he's doing good?

Flitcroft said 4 weeks not 6 weeks, id be amazed if we managed 5000 against Chesterfield, 4000 maybe if Chesterfield bring 6/700. The pathetic Bury public are a joke when it comes to supporting their football club.

Last thing i can find out about Andy is, was a interview on the local radio about a group called Mind, that was early 2015, since then nothing.
Mayes and Rowland were in my opinion, were one of the best strike forces that we ever had, in the season 79-80 i think both of them scored 20 odd goals each for the season.
Like you i have very high regards for Andy, he came across as a intelligent, calm and every reliable footballer, while he was assissant manger at swindon , if we were away he would always wait around outside the ground and give any swindon fans that didnt have tickets the spare tickets that the players didnt want, saved me a fortune as i was quite often there when the team coach arrived.
i will try and find out more for you but even wiki has not been updated for a while.
