This is the real thing we’re all here for isn’t it, don’t want to be champagne Charlie’s in the championship, but don’t want to slum it in the Dog and Duck league downstairs.

So far, I’ll confidently predict we’re nailed on to win the shit out of this. We won’t go down as politically correct health and safety rules won’t allow Steve Evans to spontaneously combust within a stadium, but we won’t go down because some of you lot are doing your best at being worse than us.

Anyway, Tuesday we play the Franchise, which looks on paper to be a dead rubber. But no, it’s the time of season all fans dream of, A MID-TABLE BATTLE!

Prediction: 0-0

Pretty much been our home from day dot. I swear we’ve pretty much constantly been between 8th and 14th.

Don't be ridiculous. We achieved a positive result on Saturday, We are playing on a Tuesday. What always happens in those circumstances?

We play like the Dog & Duck's third team and, after our comprehensive defeat, the obese one will say we were the only team that looked like scoring a consolation in the last 15 minutes.

This is probably the wrong place, but your use of Franchise FC reminded me to ask a question I have been meaning to ask for a while. I understand why they are referred to Franchise and I get the real concern of the American approach to club branding. But at what point do you stop calling them that? Should we refer to Woolwich Arsenal not Arsenal, or since they left Plumstead my own preferance Traitors To Sarf London?

Are there any other clubs who in the past moved geographically some way.

Arsenal moved about 5-6 miles and stayed in London.
MK moved the whole club about 70 miles to a completely different part of the country.
I doubt if Wimbledon fans would have been too up in arms if they had been moved a few miles.
No comparison at all really.

when I grew up, incidently in Arsenal Road, I remember some ‘old boys’ still bemoaning that Arsenal had up sticks from one part of London and gone to another that was very different from theirs, even if it was only 12 or so miles north as the crow flies.

We claimed this price a couple of seasons and would like it back..
Keep winning and we could end up In our rightful spot as a mid table pointless obscure football club.

Mid table maybe, obscure definitely, but not pointless.
I have always enjoyed my trips to Burton. Decent pubs, good fans and an all round good away day.

Some turnaround at your place. I knew you had climbed out the bottom 4 but hadn't realised you're now actually 5 points clear of it too.

If you can perform like a lower mid-table team next Tuesday, that'd be appreciated!

But still only 5 points off the top 6 (and we owe you for the TV game)

We've taken up residence. We aren't good enough to make the play offs.

We put a little run together and just when it looks like we could reach the rarefied air of the upper reaches of the league we have a mini collapse. Definite mid table masters us.
