Yep, only one outcome from this. It's just a matter of damage limitation.

I'm still getting used to us keeping 2 clean sheets. Just about half way through the season and other than Morcambe away and Leyton at home we haven't played well other than 15 minute spells so even though we are top you don't get the feeling that we will win a game.

Mark Sale was my favourite player when I was about six, as I saw him at a pre-season friendly wearing glasses giving me the inspiration that glasses wouldn't hold me back from a career as a professional footballer. Turns out, that wasn't the thing holding me back!

We've become a little leaky at the back and are still toothless going forward. Oh well, a least the midfield is.....erm....average?

Surely this should be the Wonk Hall Derby

If we get anything out of this I would be delighted

Mark Sale is an absolute c***. Perpetrated the single worst act of violence I have ever seen on a football field (and I've watched Franchumpsco kick Yessenthaler up the arse). Scum.

Can't remember it fully but didn't he push one of your players in to some advertising hoardings? I'm sure I was at that game. I definitely visited BR for a game around that time period.

I can't believe we paid £50k for him. Not the best investment!

Anyway back to the depressing stuff... stags 0 Donny 2.

1st time we've played Donny in the league since 03/04 isn't it? Remember them beating us that day too, Michael McIndoe tore us to shreds.

Shame this game has come now for us. Our current lot are playing like they know they're going to be replaced in Jan. Can't see it being much different on Saturday unfortunately.

Yes, it was during the first stage of H£arn turning our ground into a housing estate. The handsome old South Terrace had been knocked down to be replaced by a car park and some 10ft hoardings.

Sale was trying to chase an aimless punt forward by was being outrun by the abysmal Dave Martin in what was probably the slowest foot race seen at Brisbane Road since Peter Garland and Chris Mackenzie simultaneously noticed that there was only one pork pie left at the 1997 LOFC Christmas party.

Martin successfully shepherded the ball out of play, at which point Sale needlessly shoved him in the neck and face-first into the hoardings. It was vulgar, and frankly he could've killed or paralysed poor Dave. (It would probably have been kinder on everyone if he had, as watching Dave Martin pretend to be able to play football was excruciating in and of itself. But still. c***).

Sale would be up front with Jason Williams (late two-footed lunge on Paul Hyde which broke both of the keeper's legs and ended his professional career) in my all-time most hated XI.

Surely the thread title should be The One Call Derby.

It must have been a different game i attended, as I remember standing on an open terrace.

I don't particularly remember Mark Sale being an aggressive player, in fact quite the opposite. I can only assume it was a red mist moment.

We've had them in the cup since - drew 1-1 at field mill, they equalised in the last minute. Lost the replay.

As for tomorrw it's hard to see past a Doncaster win, we've a poor midfield - when jamie bloody McGuire - a league 2 version of Robbie savage - is our best midfielder you know something is severely wrong.

If Doncaster have any nouse about them they'll win. Evans has more to do than I think he realised

Had an awful feeling we'd lose this.

They'll get another one at least now, team full of bottlers with the biggest bottler in the world at the helm.

Glad I saved my money.

Good to be winning, plenty of time for us to mess it up.

1-1. Not good enough. Mansfield to win 2-1.

We win this and I lick Fergies balls.

In fairness Doncaster are ridiculously better than us, I'd have been delighted with a point before the game (if we get one)

Sounded a very fair result, according to mates we probably shaded the game but Doncaster came on strong after equalising by the sounds of it and hit the post

Would have bitten your hand off for that before the game
