You spent years in the conference ....I can see why it's safety first .....

Only 5 years against 90 odd as a league club. We should be mid table at least and going for playoffs like we did in the early 2000's

Surprised Hartlepool haven't dropped in recent years. Still a bottom 7 side

Those 5 years are still fresh .... nowt wrong with trying to draw every away game ...its not your job to entertain the home crowd .....as for us going out of the league ....We've tried our best , we just can't seem to get under that last hurdle

The poolies never miss an opportunity to crowbar in the fact they've never played in the conference.

You can always remind them that they've never won anything in their long and illustrious existence. Dullest club to support by far ;)

A relegation might actually do them good. It's no longer guaranteed that you'll win most of your games down there just because you're a bigger club but being competitive in a division for a change might enliven your fanbase,

Very impressed with Nathan Thomas at Deepdale in the cup, don't know if has any sort of consistency but based on what I saw that night, he has the ability to play higher than League Two.

If he had any sort of consistency, he would certainly be playing higher than League Two. He has more good games than bad, and even in the bad games you know he only needs a 2 minute spell and he can create a goal from nothing. Sometimes tries too hard, sometimes doesn't try hard enough. Can turn his man inside out all game, but often shanks his cross to no one.

A bit more consistency and he could easily make it in the Championship.

Don't think he's got the footballing brain required to make the right decision at the pace he can play at.

Thought he was awesome at times with us and really didn't want him to leave, the thing about moving closer to home was a load of rubbish because he said he'd happily play for plymouth again. He didn't like being dropped when he didn't play well but i think we should of just stuck with him and let him play though it. He'll come good if he works hard and i think hartlepool is the right club for him... ill always buy him back on fifa haha

I like Hartlepool, it's one of the few places in this league that make Mansfield look decent. A bit like going to blackpool - it's that shit it's actually good. Perverse really.

As for dropping down to the conference it's almost like we'd never been away, comfortable midtable/top half side in general and go from there.
