It's interesting how the draw has fallen. If we are going to win the trophy then I think beating Wrexham over two legs is better than having to do it in a Wembley final. Still, I would rather have drawn Bath in the semis and had a better chance of reaching the final, which is where any real money or confidence can be won.

Here come the excuses :fl:

No party, why would there be? We've been there, done it and won it, hence why we aren't that arsed about it any more. Sorry for ruining your Wembley dream though :£
No worries, we're happy to grant smaller, less ambitious clubs something to play for this season. Squeak squeak. :woot:

Fucking Bath City v North Ferriby for a place at Wembley!

To be fair, its no worse than Havant v Gosport last season, although at least that was a local derby.

Dover appear to have bottled it in the same way we did last season. Both of us knew that a win away to lower league opposition would give us a semi final against lower league opposition and a great chance of Wembley, both of us then lost to said lower league opposition away.

Just me then who finds this amusing. Alfreton supporter knocking Bath City. :dk:

Bath are a proper club, they've spent several years in the Conference and they've dispatched 3 Conference clubs on their way to the semis, plus a Conference South powerhouse too... *shifty eyes*

Good luck to them, I hope they go on and win the whole thing now.

Ah well, at least there will be one proper team in the final now. Whoever wins our tie simply must win the Trophy, it would be an embarrassment to lose to either of the other 2!

Halifax had a massive 955 attend their own little cup final tonight, thank god that joke of a club will be nowhere near Wembley now, stinking the place out with their hoofing and thuggery. I still can't be arsed with this tournament but it is proving a decent little distraction and to keep the interest going, much the same for your lot I imagine.

Well we've never won a national trophy in our history, so it would be nice to win some silverware, and what a chance we have to do it this time.

We're both similar in that although both managers are still talking about pushing for the top 5, realistically it's not going to happen for either club this time around, so the Trophy games could be quite exciting as both go in search of salvaging their season slightly.

Apparently the goalless draw at the Racecourse was dull as dishwater the other day though? :tw:

Not saying Bath arent a proper club just that a Cup Semi between them and NFU is really underwhelming. Was really gunning for Dover myself.

Look Hull will be unbearable if NFU get to the Final.

They were bad enough last season!

Remember us getting to the quarter finals way back when....:tw:

OK then, that's fair enough, although I've got to ask why you'd gun so much for Dover over Bath?

Dover really aren't any bigger than Bath. Bath have had a more illustrious history and have spent more seasons in the Conference than Dover have.

Glad Bath won, even if it means our game with them is now a Tuesday night.

It was shocking; we used 5 central midfielders throughout the course of the game and didn't have any injuries.

Ultra-negative anti-football; I hope I never see it again.

It was 4 central midfielders in a diamond until the last 15 minutes when Morris came on. Wilkin picked a team with not losing in mind rather than going for the win. This inevitably resulted in a dull game. He has since admitted that he made a mistake not changing things earlier. I'm confident we'll see a much better game of football for the trophy semi.

I hope Bath win the Trophy as well. We were one of the teams they beat and they completely deserved their win against us on the day.

Which I could understand if we were playing a team in good form; however Torquay's is almost as dire as ours.

We were less adventurous than when be played Stoke, and that's bonkers.

Both sides picked up good results at the weekend. Are you confident for this weekend, or are you not even fussed?!

Looked at getting the train up, but can think of better things to spend £100 on.

Good luck to both Torquay and Bath today. Would love to see a cracking west country final.

Weathers grim today very wet, pitch will cut up a lot today doesn't take much this season, the pitch is awful! (the company who did it in the summer are coming back to fix what they did wrong this summer coming) At least we don't need to use the sprinklers

Unfortunately not. Honestly our pitch is a disgrace yes we've had average rain last night and this morning. If its not on i'd be asking the company that did the pitch for the 300k back
