Torquay kept the pressure up well this second half and deserve that goal. Hartlepool have tried to defend the 1-0 but ran out of gas in the final 20 or so. You put enough crosses/diagonals/long throws in the box you'll get a chance or two but I thought the Waters chance was the one.

EDIT - Have to say though, the overall quality of Torquay's set pieces and crossing have been absolutely horrendous.

Well none of Torquay’s outfield players looked like scoring second half, disallowed effort aside.

Can say it now that it’s gone to ET, surely the lad who threw the ball down in anger should have been sent off if he’s already on a yellow?

They’ve deserved it. Relentless pressure in the last 15 mins of that.

Well this ground has seen some sport in the last 24 hours. Radio five’s commentator referred to the Bristol v Quinn’s game as the best he had ever seen. And now this. cracking goal, but what was the Pools keeper doing?

Yes and all rugby reporters and fans were trying to say football doesn’t have such drama!

I don’t think Torquay are very good, they just don’t give up. Johnson’s got absolutely everything out of them.

have to say Torquay deserved that but there was a foul on the Poolie keeper.

I hate to say this but games like this one do make a strong argument for the introduction of VAR.

Is he normally that rash or did the occasion get to him? He'd definitely have saved it if he'd stayed on his line

He’s an emergency loanee when our number 1 got injured, doesn’t inspire confidence

I think Penalties is our best chance, we’re out on our feet.

I thought that the referee got that decision wrong as there seemed to be a foul on him initially. However clear YC for dissent missed.

Then Torquay would've already been winning it before this

Mind you, Pools may not have even made the final if VAR had been in play

There's a contradiction right there in your post- GOOD teams DON'T give up. It's why they win!

Sorry Pools fans, I celebrated that Torquay equaliser. How often do you see that?

Yep that's it. There's been some highly debatable calls in this game, like the two disallowed Torquay goals for instance.

Wrong. Johnson was our manager back in 1994/95 and while we were nowt special our lads never gave up even when two or more goals down going into the 89th min. I'm not saying Torquay are not a decent side but it;s clear to me that Gary Johnson has to take the credit for the late goals.

By the way, I got this hunch that the great Donaldo will be popping up with the winner shortly. Sorry Gulls fans.

Can't believe the ref is letting him get stitched up on the pitch!

This can only be helping Hartlepool. Given them all that recovery time
