Finn vs AJ was very good, the main event was a throwback to a massive cluster fuck that worked and did exactly what it needed to

This was probably the most bizarre show that the WWE has done in years, i am not sure how to fully rate it. The Cruiserweight tag team match was actually very good, and Styles/Balor literally stole the show. Everything else was a bit baffling to be honest, and i thought the main event was really sloppy and strange.

Lets move on from this.

It usually feels like I come on here and see everybody is saying PPV's are poor when I thought they were ok, so it's surprising this time to see some of you saying that the PPV was ok, because I thought that it was probably the worst PPV I remember seeing in quite a while. Finn/Styles was good but there was nothing else that did anything any better than be on ok match. And the main event just felt like a bit of a mess. It wasn't the Kurt Angle come back we were looking for, it wasn't the Shield reunion we were looking for, it was just overall underwhelming. It's not that it wasn't fun to watch, but it felt utterly lacking consequence or anything to really remember it by. Trying to make Kurt a Shield guy was probably what made it feel so off to me. It still wasn't The Shield, and it also took away the moment of Kurt Angle coming back as Kurt Angle.

So yeah, I'm glad to see Scott saying the same... not just me

Positive i found about Angle's entrance is, maybe they were saving the proper one for a bigger event? not giving everything away straight away?

it seems HHH has put Jericho's nose out of place. He is hosting a 'Jericruise' and wanted NXT to have a presence on the cruise. HHH basically said no, which has resulted in ROH getting involved instead. the Young Bucks are booked in, and Jericho recently had Omega on his Podcast so via some cunning business they have announced this fight.

i have been getting into Wrestle Kingdom more and more each year, i will look forward to this in particular now!

I'm not usually a fan of the modern Survivor Series ppvs, particularly those in the brand-split eras, but this year's iteration has a pretty exciting card.

Sheamus and Cesaro vs The Usos
Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Asuka, Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Tamina and ?
Angle, Strowman, Bálor, Joe and HHH vs Shane, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Nakamura and Cena
AJ vs Lesnar
Some other less interesting crap.

That's a strong set of matches

Been offered 3 months free on the Network, might take them up on this as it includes the Rumble too and I think S/Series might be decent. Haven't watched a PPV in ages.

I wasn't particularly looking forward to it as I don't like either stable but, yeah, it was an excellent match.

Aleister Black / Velveteen Dream was my fave match, and the War Games was the spot fest that we knew it would be

Pretty good PPV. Annoying that Triple H had to be the centre of attention again...

I can't help but feel a tad let down with that event (mainly the main event), it wasn't dreadful by any means but thought it was going to be much better.

The main event was meh, its 2017 and Shane, Triple H & Angle make up 3 of the last 4, nowt like pushing new talent (fair enough they did with Braun but as for the rest).

Really enjoyed the 6 man tag and Bar/Usos and Styles/Lesnar was very good.

Yeah it was ok overall, but the 5 vs 5 was a bit underwhelming, especially when compared to last years which was about an hour of sheer entertainment from start to finish.

Survivor Series didn't really do much for me but how awesome was Takeover, thought War Games was fantastic, and i suspect Dunne/Gargano will be awesome too (Haven't caught up with it yet)

it is indeed, it was quality from top to bottom. if you haven't experienced NJPW before it will be an eye opener

Who do we all think is going to win the Rumble then?

It's obviously going to be Roman/Brock at Mania, do they have Roman win the rumble then? I don't think/hope so/not.

Nakamura is bookies favourite it would appear, not sure I see him winning it in fairness but could be a good shout and I think a Smackdown star will win it to set up whoever at Mania and leave Raw with the Roman/Brock situation.

Daniel Bryan is 3rd fav on Skybet at 4/1, that would be incredible but no chance IMO.

As for the women, with all respect, I don't really care.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daniel Bryan and The Miz have some sort of altercation which sets them up for WM. plus with Roman losing the IC title this surely sets him up for the main event.

I have to be honest, Takeover sounds awesome. Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black will tear it down, and Gargano getting an NXT title match - this is like when Bryan surprised us all and won the title. Will be a great show.

As for the Royal Rumble, i think it will have a couple good rumbles, and the world title matches will be great. Everything else, i am not so fussed about. I do imagine that the whole Rollins hitting Jordan with his knee will lead Jordan to turn on Rollins.

Both the tag matches should be decent in fairness, Usos/Chad&Shelton could quietly be the match of the night.

I fear for the universal title match sadly, slow pace springs to mind.

I feat the same. The one a few years ago with Brock/Cena/Rollins at least had the high flyer in there to balance things out a bit and was a great match as a result. These 3 are all too similar.
