We looked good on Sat with Doyle in electric form we again need to be looking at 3 points here. We are always likely to concede but we do well going forward.

The chance of a clean sheet is nil these days in stark contrast to last year but another 4 or 5 goal thriller will do be if we take the three points.

I'll go for a tics win, Doyle and Davies getting 3 between them. Afc will add another 2 with it finishing 3-2.

Clarke in for Gerrard the only change for me.

Goodness knows, but we appeared to have turned a corner.

I won't be there, or at the beamback as I'm stewarding at Millwall. Could be interesting.

Will be interesting to see how Ardley plays it tonight. He finally seems to have admitted what everyone else knew, that we need to play two up front alongside each other. We're a decent team when we do that and let Forrester and Barchan roam a bit. Wouldn't put it past him to revert to Nil Ardley and go defensive again though. Pessimistic if he does that, cautiously optimistic if he doesn't.

We should be 3 or 4 up here.

Doyle missed 2 sitters - uncharacteristically.
Davies grazed the post with a header and had a goal disallowed.

Bad feeling about this as bar one half chance for Taylor they’ve offered absolutely nothing.

Most 1 sided goalless half of football I've ever seen. Carving them open for fun.

Plenty of crossed coming in but think we need to mix it up a bit in our approach. Get Davies and Doyle on the ball as well as receiving crosses.

Wimbledon have been playing for time since kick off.

Wimbledon much better second half but we still created 4 or 5 chances that could have gone in.

Time wasted from the off and your keeper rightly booked for It. Definitely 2 points dropped tonight.

Given your recent form I'm happy with a point there. Despite it being a little fortunate. We just need to beat Walsall at home on sat and will have been a decent week all in.

Let me make it clear. The draw is purely down to our inability to convert Chances. Wimbledon were woeful. It really is no exaggeration that we could have been in double figures by full time.

Worst team I've seen at bp

Our first nil since August. Twenty-five last season in the league.

First nil-nil of the season. Ten last season.

On the plus side, only the second side after Blackburn who couldn't score against us.

Four points from six in two tough away games. Would absolutely have taken that before Saturday.

I thought we did OK tonight. Last 20 of the first half it's fair to say Oldham dominated but we were much better after switching to three at the back second half and had some chances.

Double figures though? Long didn't have much to do the grand scheme of things..
‘Double figures is certainly OTT. I don’t think you could have complained had we won that 4-0 though. Our finishing was dire today, Doyle could have had 4 but put two wide, Long saved another with his legs and then he headed straight at Long in stoppage time. Davies grazed the post and had one ruled for offside, Fuller made a last ditch tackle to stop Holloway scoring and Byrne just put one wide.

As for your chances, I only remember Taylor’s half chance in the first half?

That's 8 chances you list just there. May not have got much on target tonight we put far too much wide. If you include dummigans ball across the box, fanes weak arse effort, the last gasp tackle when doyle should have gone alone but squared it, cappachino had one saved... I could go on

Not expecting us to convert every chance but it' not beyond the realms of possibility. we had 10+ good chances to score tonight.

That' probably the most chances we have made in one game all season and considering our goals for column thats some going

Splendid banter.

Do you find my responses to snarky Oldham fans overrating their team to be tedious in some way?

Fwiw there's absolutely no chance of Oldham reaching the play offs and people should really be held to account when they make silly predictions like that.

I just find your banter worthy of praise.

It's not banter or anything northern like that. It is a serious point. I'll keep checking in on your battle with reality. Can't wait to see why you didn't deserve to drop points against Gillingham!

Give it a rest, Oxford feller.

The Jeff Stelling approved Expected Goals stat suggests 2-0 would have been a fair scoreline, rather than any 5s or 6s. It isn't the most accurate at L1 level mind.

Shows how Wimbledon didn't seem in any danger of scoring though.

"Give it a rest, here's a chart proving that Oldham fans got overexcited about their team and made bold statements with no basis in reality exactly as you said, but I'll pretend you said something about Wimbledon scoring instead"

It was. I didn’t detect any in that post though, so if it was another attempt at banter, your standards severely dropped.

I’m sure it’s just a blip.

If you can't see the banter loaded into that post then you might want to get yourself checked out. Could be serious.
