We've released Lloyd Doyley and Matthew Briggs, offering contracts to:

Dean Brill
Richard Brindley
Tom Eastman
George Elokobi
Lewis Kinsella
Chris Porter
Kane Vincent-Young
Drey Wright

No major surprises really. Doyley was brought in to add experience at the back but has played about 10 minutes. Elokobi came back from his loan spell when Doyley got injured and has done the job anyway so he was always going to be off. I've generally thought of Briggs as a bit of a liability for the couple of seasons he's been here too so no real surprise to see him offloaded.

Wasn't sure if we might only try to keep one of Eastman and Elokobi rather than both, although both have been good this year. Not too sure about Kinsella, but we'd probably need him as cover with Briggs going anyway.

Everyone else is still under contract, which is good as with a fully fit squad I think we'd have been challenging the top three so ideally we'll keep the bulk of it together and just add one or two this summer.

I forgot you signed Hoban, how did he do? Probably a blessing in disguise that he backed out of our deal.

We'll probably have a sniff at Green, which I wouldn't mind. Won't be as prolific as previous years but he seemed to play the lone striker role quite well.

Option to extend contract taken up: Sonny Bradley, David Fox, Jake Jervis, Gary Miller, Jakub Sokolik, Yann Songo’o, Oscar Threlkeld,

A few good signings for L2 clubs from our out of contract players. Brunt, Spencer, Slew, Ijaha and Bulvitis all look decent on their day. I like Connor Smith so I'm disappointed he's gone but trust DA's judgement.

Tanner is out of contract at Reading and will make a great signing for someone in L2 who play the right system for him.

Bloody hope Carey stays.

It'll depend what your manager's ideas are with Rhead.

I'd love him to come good in the league for both you and him, he's a good lad and it didn't quite work out first time round for him. Green off his shoulder will work well should you want to utilise that option.

I'd be surprised if he didn't go to you.

Saw Green in the last game of the season at Crawley and he was a handful.

Someone's going to get a good striker.

Hoban actually did ok mate but since Evans came in he's not had much game time at all. He's a useful squad player though for anyone in this league. Very sad to see Greeny off, The guy is a legend here but sadly he's not been great this season and with the wages he's been on more is expected. That said he's another Evans has seemingly never fancied which makes me wonder why didn't we just take the money we were offered for him in Feb.

I'm gutted that Matt Green's gone. Admittedly not at his best this season but a club legend and a good centre forward. A decent run of games, some faith from his manager and and he'll get 15+ goals in this league.

Matt Green to Lincoln, Notts Co or maybe even Grimsby?

Lincoln and Grimsby I could take, Not County though. Already faced up to the fact he's likely to bag against us next season, But please not in a fucking County shirt!

Our released list is supposed to be out by the end of the week.

I can't imagine they'll be too many surprises with it, tbh.

I love Matt Green. I genuinely love him and I think he's great. But perhaps 25-30 goals like he got in the Conference is beyond him in League Two at the moment. He will be a real, shrewd acquisition for one our rivals though.

When we were in the Conference besides being a great poacher he led the line excellently. He appears to have lost that leadership slightly and that clinical edge in front of goal. But he hasn't lost his pace that much, so he can definitely regain those other former attributes if he gets his form and starts enjoying himself again.

I hope he does well wherever he goes. So for me the verdict is 16 goals in 42 outings next term.

Matt Green will score goals in the right side, in this division, 15-20 goals next season. He's still got pace, he's as fit as anyone at this level and works incredibly hard. We should have at least offered him a reduced deal, in my opinion.

He hasn't had the best of seasons in front of goal but he still gets in the right areas and has suffered from confidence under Evans.

Any team in League 2, with a big man for Green to play off the shoulder, would be mad not to offer him a deal.

I'll give him a year at ML. Him and Shola up top together would do some damage, I'd have thought.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we signed Green..

Our list is out Friday, not really sure what Nolan is going to do with it.

Matt Green knows the South West from his time with Torquay, so I wonder if we may be interested since we're most likely going say bye to Ollie Watkins.

Going to be a lot of interest in Green at this level, getting rid is a mistake.

Should have took the money last summer when you had the chance.

I wonder if we'll go back in for him. Probably depends what league we're playing in next season I guess.

Thankfully Davis got sacked because I couldn't bear a joint father-son testimonial...

Steve Davis will be managing the Team Full Of Turtons 11 for the testimonial. Stars to return include Ben Rix, Paul Tait and Danny Shelley. Richard Walker may also make a cameo.

Boyce not getting much game time?
Not really. Played at the start of the season but had a stinker at Colchester and was forgotten about until Jan. Since then, he's had appearances here and there but never a proper run in the team.

Hoban is shite, not that good and isn't consistent for a top half team.

Curle has said that McQueen and Hooper are to be released. Probably no surprise regarding Hooper, who was one of a number of attacking players all brought in on short term contracts in an attempt to turn around our poor form, and Hooper only made one brief appearance and hasn't even been seen on the bench since.

Shame for McQueen really as he has loads of promise but took some bad advice in the summer in turning down our contract offer and ended up spending six months out of the game. I'm sure he still has the raw talent in him to come good and if he gets a summer training with his new team, will be a good player, but football is a harsh business and it sounds Curle just feels he can't risk keeping someone on in the hope that they come good after a poor season.

He hasn't mentioned anyone else, though I presume those two are just the players he know he won't need in the playoffs. He has Ward, Nabi, Bailey, Joachim and Tomlinson to consider as well as anyone else whose contract ends this summer (including Ellis and Brough who have been out on loan) but I guess he feels he may end up needing them in the playoffs.

Also mentioned is Hallam Hope, who has been released by Bury and we're probably going to make an attempt to sign in the summer.

Sadly for us, Ellis still has a year remaining on his contract after this season. Hopefully Forest Gump want to take him permanently.

We've not released ours but as players sign or leave it's being announced.

So far

Danny Pugh
Dan Turner
Billy Reeves
Ryan Boot
Signed new deals

Remie Streete has left the club and we didn't even offer a contract thus no compo!

Sam Foley is expected to leave along with Ryan Taylor (who will probably come back when no one wants him)

Rumours suggest
Chris Eagles
Andre Bikey
Ben Purkiss

Are close to signing
