Ajose earned his spot over Colclough?

Yeah. Ran the channels out wide on Saturday, did some defensive work, had 2 great chances in the first half. Had his best game in 5-6 imo. And he is still our top goalscorer. Colclough played an hour in terrible conditions on Monday and clearly still need fitness work, let's not rush him back in after 1 wonder goal which usually gets saved.

Would agree with that assessment if it was anyone else. Colclough is clearly our most talented player, however. At this stage of the season, players like him ought to be played whatever the circumstances (IMO).

You've got to remember we play Friday, Monday. I'd keep Coco on the bench until the last 20 maybe earlier if needed, then if he comes through that fine maybe a start at Chesterfield, I don't think Uche, Ajose and LDV will do a bad job for the 1st 60-70 mins on tommorow. The last thing we need is him pulling up injured and missing the run in, because as you say he's the most talented member of the squad, and we have a greater chance with him than without.

Friday is more important than Monday.

I wouldn't be too dissatisfied with a draw, although it's a game we should really be looking to win. I'll go for an entertaining 2-2.

Unchanged tram for us. Looking through that Crawley team they actually have a decent looking side.

Both teams will go down after what I just saw, a point was a very poor return from both teams.

Ajose is nowhere near the same player he was, the amount of times in the first half the space he used to find when he first joined became available and he was practically hugging the touchline.

We don't create any chances and that's the ultimate problem, Ness is supposed to provide them and I physically cannot remember the last time he had a decent game. Please drop him soon.

Never turn up when we get half a decent home attendance and the extra thousand people won't return in a hurry that's for sure.

Shocking game bar the first 15 minutes when we started really well.

This is Davis in a nutshell though, even when he sets us up in an attacking formation/selection, his dull tactics(see Ollie Turton pinned to the CBs and not getting forward and Colclough spending the first 10 minutes of his sub appearance tracking Oyebanjo deep into our half as 2 examples) shine through. These home performances are the result of his shite coaching and complete lack of an attacking plan. Can anyone guess what the plan was to break Crawley down today? I sure as hell can't. The bloke occasionally stumbles across a decent formation/selection or game plan(not to mention he is also bailed out by superb attacking players who do their own thing, see Powell, Aneke and Murphy), but by and large, he has no clue about how to coach an attacking team or how to break a stingy team down. We have no pace, no flair. The movement upfront is largely non-existent. We don't know whether to attack down the middle, get it out wide, go long, pass it short. Its atrocious viewing and if the board want fans to part with decent sums of money for match and season tickets next season, they either need to massively re-jig the coaching staff behind Davis and set him some decent targets in terms of goals, wins and league position, or ideally get rid of him and find someone who has a clue about attacking coaching. This should happen if we stay up or go down too.

Crawley got what they came for, a point that almost became 3 with that final goalmouth scramble which we almost conceded from. They rarely threw numbers forward and spent most of the second half with 10 men behind the ball, which didn't help. But then if the roles were reversed, we'd have done the same and I would have been fine with it.

By the looks of it, the away form will be the best place to get the 2 wins we need to stay up. Erase this one from the memory and aim for better on Monday.

Ajose is useless outside the penalty area. So why play him on the wing? He is a goal scorer, and nothing else. Completely agree with JJ's post. Some of Davis' decisions are beyond baffling.

Two mates of mine, who aren't regulars at Crewe but go from time to time, said they ain't coming back for a while and I don't blame them. See JJs post for my reaction to this game. Poor.

I will say the same as I've been saying since Swindon thumped us 5-0 last season. Davis needs to go sharpish. I don't think we have the fight the sides below us have to get 2 or 3 more wins, they looked content with a point today against a shocking side. In the words of attacking football connoisseur Dario Gradi: Can you believe that?

Next season will be the first in 8/9 years that my season ticket won't be renewed. Can't stand paying 300 pound a season to watch 2 maybe 3 good games a season like I have for the last 3 years.

Bet I won't hear anything from the club either because they don't give a toss about their so called 'fans'

If we go down and end up playing defensive football at home to the likes of Accrington god knows how many season ticket holders we'd lose.

It's boring watching Crewe these days. It was our biggest net home fans gate of the season yesterday. None of those will return.
