Better from Murray. Still not great on the big points but perfect time to break there.

Interesting match this. Murray is in a better position tennis wise than he was last year but is still not quite on top of his game. Dimitrov is clearly fitter, more comfortable in himself and is learning more and more about what it takes at this top level.

Going to be a tight one. I certainly see Dimitrov winning a slam at some point in the next two years though. Rashid is doing a great job with him.

If Murray does progress, I fancy him to beat Kyrgios who will likely be mentally and physically drained from his victory today. I'm not sure he's ready to beat Nadal or Berdych in a semi of a slam yet though. Nadal, because it's well, Nadal. And he doesn't have a very good record against Berdych. I'm not sure he's playing consistently aggressive enough to beat him yet.

Got to get through this match first and he's down yet again early in the fourth.

Last few games sum up Andy. Very up and down. Just needs to find consistency now. The level is there.

I expect him to win the quarter final. The semi final will be very tough whoever it is.

What a great win that was, his best for some time. How he came back from 5-2 down to win it was amazing tennis and Dimitrov showed what a great player he is and is going to be. I expect he'll beat Kyrgios, Murray is usually pretty good at upsetting a home player.

Nadal plays Berdych, that one is over before we've even started let's be honest, Rafa always schools him.

Murray v Nadal and Djokovic v Wawrinka could be mouthwatering SF lineup.

Can anybody see Djokovic not winning it? I'm struggling to see beyond him.

In fact, the only person I think who can beat him in this tournament at this moment is Wawrinka if he has one of his ridiculous on fire days. I'm not sure Murray or Nadal are quite there yet for different reasons. I never fancy Rafa on a hard court against a big boy whilst I don't think Murray has the consistent level to beat Djokovic in a best of 5 at present.

Na it's Djokovic's title to lose for me. But he'll be scared of Wawrinka after the last 2 years here.

Yeah its Djokovic's title again, and nobody would begrudge him it. Rafa is just coming back and even if he reaches the final, I don't foresee him beating Nole there; Murray needs to be more consistent yet, which I can't see him getting till mid-season once more, and then we could see if he's got as good a chance as any in winning Wimbledon or the US Open once again; Berdych doesn't stand a chance; and Wawrinka isn't quite at the level he was at the beginning of last season when he won the thing.

Looking forward to Murray v Kyrgios though, that could be a belting match, with all the flair on display and the partisan crowd trying to wind Andy up who'll love that. Still Murray winning it in 3 or 4 though.

Long term gains.
Venus just taken the first set against Radwanska. Great to see her playing well again, thought we'd seen the last of it tbf. Can she keep it up though?

Always liked Venus; good to see her having an Indian summer before she eventually retires.

I rarely watch women's tennis now; in the early Nineties, it was the other way around, with me watching more of the women's game than the men's since serve-and-volley was at its height; whilst the women's game had guile and subtlety to it - no more though.
