Watched TNA for first time in over a year last week (sadly fiancee moved in and struggled to get wrestling on) thankfully she is now shoved in an office on sunday evenings doing work.

it was a very entertaining show, I am surprised they have had so many massive hits during the last few years, crowd loss of 75% alot of their built talent gone, just scraps left and an odd few regulars.

EC3 is still very entertaining, the hardy stuff was drug fuelled madness but still enjoyable in its own bizarre way, couple of the matches were good, the storm promos were superb building the main event.

No money left, needs sold by Friday from what I read and WWE in talks for library if doesn't go through.

I am not sure, the reality is losing the big tv deal makes them quite unattractive.

WWE could yet quickly fold for same reasons if the don't watch out, one quick tv change made them drop from 1.2 million to 400,000 viewers.......they still put on a decent show, but damage was done.

Not good if they do go as that 400,000 wont touch wee so is another load of fans lost from a business that is shrinking very rapidly at present.

Smart for wwe to take library for new styles fans who will nab other stuff.

There's a couple of reports coming in saying that WWE has bought TNA's tape library and the company itself will go to Billy Corgan, who will hit the reset button and rebrand.

That's the best deal fans could have hoped for.

Yeah, exactly right.

Hopefully Corgan has some good ideas to take TNA, whatever it ends up being called, forward and I look forward to watching some of the old PPVs on the WWE network.

And best of all - no Dixie!

Billy Corgan lost the lawsuit against Dixie and the company.

Also, not sure if anyone watches TNA much, if at all. I watch from time to time, however from 2017 Challenge will no longer be broadcasting the product.

Not sure how many here follow the Japanese stuff (I only follow it sporadically) but NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 11 PPV happened at the Toyko Dome earlier this week. Whole show is below.

Not a stellar show from top to bottom, but the last 4 matches (starting with Kushida vs. Takahashi at the 02:37:00 mark) are a bit special. If nothing else, give the 45-minute Okada vs. Omega epic (starts at approximately 04:09:00) a try.

did anyone watch WoS on ITV on NYE? I thought it was pretty good. loved having a bit of wresting back on terrestrial tv. i think it will be a goer if they decide to carry on, even it is a monthly event.

I taped wos, but never got to see it. Be nice if it worked, but think itv tried too late at a time when wrestling interest is very low......2010-2012 was better when there was a mini boom over here when challenge tv chucked alot of free tv hype to wrestling.

Good news was itv studio got swamped obln day of event. Theysay 2000 got turned away, but whether pilot was successful I don't know.

It's a big loss, their new schtick was immensely popular. In wider terms it could be a loss for wrestling in general too because if they do go on to join WWE, as they are expected to, I don't think they'll be given the green light to be as creative (read: completely and utterly insane) with the promos, vignettes and general characterisation as they have been in TNA.

Yeah, I always thought Matt and TNA were a good match. TNA, like every other promotion that isn't WWE, needs something to distinguish it from WWE (preferably something that can't be easily copied). Matt's "broken" nonsense provided that. And, yes, TNA is probably the only promotion that would have let him do it. The various indie promotions in North America wouldn't have had the resources, and WWE wouldn't have given him the creative freedom.

Jeff is clearly the dumber sibling (his creative zenith is Willow, FFS) but he was probably the biggest draw on that roster. A big loss for a promotion trying to re-establish itself.

anybody been following TNA recently?

the shows arent too bad, but their talent is so thinly spread now it is the same wrestlers on every show. they had their Wrestlemania the other week (Bound for Glory) and i fast forwarded through the majority of it. the X Division match was a 6 way, and they had exactly the same match on the Impact show before it!

random shout out to ex rugby player Alex Corbisiero too, who has been making appearances as part of the Bellator American Top Team faction backin up Bobby Lashley. took some heavy bumps in the cage match

TNA suffering from a bout of major stars leaving at the moment - James Storm, Lashley, EC3, Laurel Van Ness to name a few

but a lot of spoiler alerts for the new tv tapings for returning and new start too. BUT, the talent is getting spread even further. Don Callis has taken over the reigns apparently so interesting to see how that develops
