Well, apart from the obvious, I had a good day and thoroughly enjoyed the game.
I guess we all see things differently and are naturally biased but I really don't get the dirty, cynical tag that some on here seem to be labeling us with.
It was a competitive game of football played by two sides that were trying to win the match.
No 'parking the bus' here.
I thought we were the bettter team up to Walsall's first goal.
After the break Walsall were pretty dominant for a large spell.
As the game went on though I thought we finished the game the stronger and looked the more likely to win.
Many teams away at Walsall would have just tried to close the game out and take the away point. It was pleasing for me that we didn't do that but pushed on looking for the win.
All in all a thoroughly entertaining game between two good sides who are punching above their weight.
Personally I would love to see both teams in the mix at the end of the season.
It would be good for both teams to go up. For our part being in a less northern division, and Walsall for the potential local derbies (Villa, Wolves, Blues)
In the last few weeks after years of having a pathetic home atmosphere, a group of our fans have started a Facebook group and about 15 or so of them have gone to the back of the top tear upper in the home end to try and get some sort of atmosphere going. It's pretty normal for mute home fans in this division and the league below. For years there hasn't been a single song sung at home, which is strange as we have good away fans in terms of numbers. I've heard a few murmourings that the atmosphere was much better, along with the Burton game a few weeks back.
Yeah I was up at the back Saturday , was a good effort, especially at the end. It could be loud as hell if more get up there, the acoustics are brilliant.
Definitely improving the overall noise, the lower just doesn't work it's like an open end so nothing kicks on.
