Similarly with my support of Swindon. Although i've been fortunate to experience all 4 divisions in that time, with a few ups but many, many downs. Like you my expectations are extremely low but I am also at the stage where I don't let what is going on at my football club have any real affect on my mental well-being as its something completely out of my control. Otherwise I'd probably be a complete basket case!

It's a bit like continously writing into Points of View to complain about how shit Eastenders is when you have more than a million and one other options rather than watch it.

That reminds me actually, a couple of years ago BBC breakfast was doing week long pieces on different towns and cities in Britain, about the cultures, what's going on there etc. Some old goat took the effort to write into POV and complain about this and specifically the time spent in Bradford. he said 'Why do I care about Bradford, I don't even live there'. !!
