Yep, they need to put some kind of mechanics in which encourage team work, and less random shooting. damage to items when shot at or hit etc would work. I enjoyed DayZ mod, but the standalone is just dull. They have taken so fucking long to get it out, and it still is barely playable.

I'd even be tempted to say that it was in a better state in the months after standalone was first released. They seem to have their priorities all skewed with the constant addition of clothing and other needless items, while more important things like the huge influx of hackers, terrible gun/melee mechanics and constant server crashes goes untouched. Why they need at least two different public builds for a game in alpha is beyond me.

They should have never built the game on that shitty engine tbh. DayZ is always gonna have massive, gamebreaking issues 'cause the eninge itself has massive issues. I can't wait for the day we get a genuinely top class survival game.

Am I the only one who found Witcher 2 really difficult? Satisfyingly so, but still difficult.

I keep going back to Mount and Blade because the fan made MOD's are superb.

is there a game has better improved MODS?

Just played the first ep of Tales from the Borderlands (see bargains thread)...really good. Never played a Borderlands game so don't really 'get' the background but the story is easy enough to follow. The one thing that stands out is the humour, it's great how they've gone from the morbid WD and GoT to writing something completely different and it works, very clever humour and it also got that self-deprecating humour...there's lots of easter eggs and things that happen to make fun of itself, such as when you skip the credits at the end and it pops up with 'Telltale will remember that'.

Anyone who likes the Telltale formula will love it...it's obviously nowhere near as serious as those TWD or GoT either, so a nice change of pace. I can't say the story is as gripping as those two but it's good enough and obviously the dialogue is much friendlier and easier to trawl through because of the jokes.

PW mod was brilliant. I am slightly ashamed at the number of hours I have spent on that. Over 3000.

Have you played the wolf among us? If you're a fan of telltale you should enjoy it. Gonna have to wait till 2016 for season 2 however... :/

Oafers and Bish will be very happy to know that I solved the bridge problem that I was having in Uncharted 2. Apparently killing all the snipers before the gunmen (which have machine-guns, not snipers) enables you not to get shot down when crossing a bridge (which is mainly a pole between too steep mountains) by someone who isn't there.
More shooting and update on my epic quest to finish this game soon!

I got up to the Ice monster/boss on Uncharted 2 and couldn't get past it. I should probably try again at some point.

That's pretty much right at the end I think, Techno Gypsy.

I FINALLY finished God of War Ascension yesterday after owning it for more than a year. It's OK but not a patch on the third game. Too many QTE's and combat is repetitive.

Time to start another game I got yonks ago now. The Last Of Us...

Prepare yourself for awesome.

Without wanting to discredit anything coming out this year, it'll be the best game you play in 2015.

I played it through to Winter the first time but life and laziness got in the way of me getting any further, so I'll just start again.

Supposed to be going to the Fire and Ice temples/dungeons, but I just got the colour 'pictobox' so now I can take sweet selfies!

My character looks somehow familiar

Currently mainly still playing Advanced Warfare, although my girlfriend got me Alien for my birthday so really looking forward to bumping the surround sound up and sitting in the dark on that.

Currently playing through the Resident Evil remaster. Ashamed to say I got lost in the opening ten minutes. Completely forgot about the door just above the stairs in the main hall. Playing as Jill.

Back on BF4 had a few good rounds too!

Not too bad considering how rusty I am!

I've also started playing Resident Evil remaster but I've started as Chris. Seems to be much harder than Jill's game given the 2 less inventory slots, not having Barry around to save you/give you ammo and having to pick up old keys as Chris is no "master of unlocking" like Jill is.

No,
It also doesn't have the unlockable cheats after you finish the game which was annoying,
But it's still good

Yeah, it's not as good as Uncharted 2, but that's not to say that it's not far better than 99% of other games out there still. It's much better than Uncharted 1, for example. It's got a brilliant story and some of the set pieces are amazing.

Right then I am now down to once a week on Destiny (raids, nightfalls and Weekly's), just so I don't overplay it and get bored!

Need a new game! reasonably priced on PS4!

Help!

I'm about to play some BF Hardline Beta. Never gonna buy the full game ofc, but it was so much fun with a few mates last time round.
