Big game for us again, one on paper that looks a standard away win against a winless side as we head into it playing well and picking up results... BUT....

Vale historically are the best at ending terrible runs for sides like this...the horror show against Coventry in 2016 etc etc.

This game will probably tell us more about our chances this season than the Cheltenham one as even last season our let down was beating the strugglers. If we can put in a good performance and get a good win then coupled with the Oldham one last week maybe we will have over come that issue for once!

Popey turned the tide against Cheltenham so may come in or we may stick with Theo Robinson, Pope might be useful against their young defence with his experience and winding up.

Montano will miss out with Fitzpatrick likely to start but otherwise assume it will be the same side. Worrall back to his best could be key here.

Hoping for a good result but nervous based on our past in these games!

Other than the fact we don’t have a manager, have not won once this season, another thing going against us is that nearly our entire defence has COVID.

If teams keep coming down with numerous players testing positive then I'd give it 2 weeks or so until the season's suspended.

Injuries mounting fast with europe's leading scorer doubtful after he got crunched on the ankle Tuesday night.

Add to that Digby has fractured bones in his face, May possibly concussion protocol and Hoolahan only back in training yesterday since his ankle injury against Port Vale, we could be down to bare bones for the tough looking trip away to Crawley.

Mitov

Knoyle Cundy Taylor Iredale
Davies Hannant Boateng Dunk
Hoolahan
Ironside

I would take a point now.

A 2-0 from another stupid early kick off.

Im sick of it too mate, I'll miss the match now thanks to them moving it back by a couple of hours. Won't be getting a tenner off me anymore so it's their loss too.

Why was it put back??

I'd start Theo but chuck Pope on for the last 30-35 mins. I'd also like to see Rodney come in a bit sooner if we do need a goal still.

Could go either way I reckon, you sound like you've had a decent start with a few blips, we've been steady but rarely spectacular. See who comes together on the day.

Oh, don't get me wrong, in terms of form and whatnot it really is a 50/50 game.

In terms of our inability to turn up against FGR, I'll snap your hand off for a draw now. I would actually have more confidence if it was at The New Lawn.

Presumably so Carlisle don't have to stay over after the match.

yeah probably - that's one of the good things about being in L2 this season - only 1 long trek to the south west during these C19 times - instead of Yeovil, Torquay and Weymouth.....

So your players don't get home too late or have to stay overnight. The same reason why most of our games are now early kick offs.

We had an early kick off against Crawley, for goodness sake.

It's only 3 hours away!

Reckon this will be the biggest test of our cahones so far this season.

Port Vale and Colchester were both fancied teams but had so-so starts to the season so good wins to pick up and both have improved since we beat them but at the time we played them both were still waiting for their season to really kick on.

Smart money's on another unchanged starting line-up. If we keep this form going then when the likes of Patrick and Dickenson are fit, we're gonna have a bench full of players who expected to be in the starting line-up but are being kept out by the form of players who stepped up due to injury. Questions is though, where will the goals come from?

We have 8 players missing yet you said your squad was much stronger than Boltons

Morecambe at home. We might get a shot on target but there really is no guarantee.

Alright it’s time to move on now lol.

Ryan Sweeney, O’Keefe, Benning have been out due Covid, and O’Driscoll is suspended, that’s would be a big hit even to Bolton squad, which I imagine is big? Ollie Clarke in midfield is injured too, but we have decent cover for that, but nearly 100% of our players out all being defenders is just unlucky

Even with all the players out, we will field a strong team (on paper) Saturday, just a little make shift in defence, Perch can play anywhere across the back, we basically have cover everywhere except LB. plenty of quality if they want to turn up, I’ll happily admit we are lacking in defence a bit, especially without a back-up LB, but midfield and upfront are fine.

We will be missing Mo Faal, Dennis Politic Gethin Jones, Liam Edwards, Tom White Shaun Miller, Lloyd Isgrove and Eoin Doyle Tuesday night when we play you so no excuses either way

You've forgotten about little old Crawley haven't you? I know you put south west but thought I'd point out how far away we are from you.

The distances according to Google maps are 328 to 327 miles. Crawley is 1 whole mile further away from Barrow than Exeter.
